We call our home Standing Wave. For us and our guests, staying here is a relaxing and tranquil experience. Things are calm and peaceful and yet filled with the excitement of the dramatic ocean views.

You won't believe the view, the peace & the serenity here! Come for a peaceful getaway. Enjoy all that this amazing coast has to offer. You can spend the entire day relaxing & whale watching in your private accommodations, or venture out to take full advantage of all that Sea Ranch has to offer...year-round, outdoor heated pools, hiking trails, tennis courts, and more views! You'll want to come back again & again!

Your accommodations will be in our guesthouse, on a gated, private Sea Ranch estate. We purchased this unique property 2 years ago because of the amazing location & privacy, and we love to share it with others. It is one of the largest oceanfront parcels at The Sea Ranch, with commanding views of the Pacific in all directions. The cottage is separated from the main house by a large meadow & rolling hills (see pictures). We are regularly treated to parades of whales & seals, deer migration, foxes, birds, and other abundant wildlife!

Your romantic cottage is studio-style, which is appointed with a wood burning fireplace, wet bar with microwave & mini-fridge, and tall ceilings with open concept living & comfortable sleeping area. There is a large bathroom with double sinks, as well as a full wet room with double shower & large bathtub. The entire cottage is bathed in natural light with large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean. And if you decide to venture outside, there is a private deck for dining, lounging, or whale watching.

Beauty and comfort, perched above the Ocean
My husband and I celebrated his birthday, in comfort and wonder in this spectacular place. Perched above an Ocean cove, the setting is astonishing to wake to, and we loved sitting out on the deck watching the waves and sea birds. The furnishings and the appliances are all high quality - feeling quite different to use than the 'for tenants' selections of some rental properties. Thank you for our very special stay!

Outstanding experience
Book it......now!!!! An amazing little house with spectacular views, it's hard to say more. This was a perfect place to unhook with the beauty of the rocky cliffs and Pacific Ocean just a few feet away. Gualala is a super little town to get any supplies you may need to grab a quick bite. We spent hours on the patio, and it was both relaxing and invigorating.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The check-in process was super simple and the location was incredible! Everything was well laid out and the view was spectacular. We ran into a bit of foggy weather, but when the sun came out it was wonderful to sit outside and listen to the ocean. Would highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway.

is the perfect word for our stay! The aura here is magnificent and rugged and the house fits beautifully and seamlessly into it’s environment. The interior has everything one could need, but nothing one doesn’t need - it’s huge windows bring the outside in, the furniture, fabrics and fireplace keep one cozy even on a blustery Northern CA coastal day! Secluded and serene
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Standing Wave. The property is secluded from the rest of Sea Ranch, so we had to drive to other neighborhoods to access the Bluff trails which we didn't mind especially with the provided Parking Pass. There is a lot to explore nearby, but the property is plenty beautiful to spend all day in. The place was clean and exactly as expected from the photos. Please note, if you are sensitive to fragranced detergents then be sure to bring your own towels and linens.
