Decent location, very basic
This property was in a decent location 30 min away from Bar Harbor. It would be ok for a 1-2 night stay but it was not comfortable at all for a 5 night stay with 2 kids. First, there is a constant musty smell in the house no matter how much we aired it out. Maybe mold? The bathroom shower curtain was very gross and moldy. I also saw hair all over the bathroom floor. I took a swiffer mop to it and it was clear the floor had not been cleaned before we got there. I emailed the mgt company and they sent someone out the next day to change out the shower curtain. The weird thing was they didn’t tell us they were coming and entered the house while we were gone. Nobody checked in afterwards to tell us they had been there either. The kitchen is bare bones and we ended up eating out more than we planned because it was too hard to cook there - no salt and pepper, can opener, colander, or serving bowls. I noted in a previous review mentioned the creaky bed and lack of blinds, and the mgt company said it had been fixed. That was not the case. The back door right next to the bed still has no blinds. All the beds were extremely loud every time anyone moved. We also came across 2 small cockroaches in the house. The house just didn’t smell or feel clean overall. Not a comfortable stay.

Nice stay in Acadia
We stayed at this place for a week. We had a very quiet and comfortable experience. The house is located very close to Seal Cove(2 min) and Bass harbor light house(8 min).

Wonderful place to stay - few heads up tips
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely place - it was very clean and spacious. The living room/bedroom was cozy and the kitchenette was a great feature. A few heads up items - one is that this is actually a split house meaning you will be staying in the back attached part. Not that that is bad, just something to note if you are thinking you are getting an entirely separate house. Also, the bed is hilariously loud. Like you get in it and it creaks loud enough to wake up the next door neighbors! Lastly, the front and back door don't have shades which is only odd because it looks right into the bed. You're in the middle of nowhere so it's not like you have anything to worry, but just a little odd to us.
