We were only in Seattle for one night but our stay at the State Hotel made it a real treat. The hotel itself is gorgeous and looks to be newly renovated. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The artwork and wallpaper throughout the hotel are a nice touch. The restaurant downstairs, Ben Paris is delightful, and a nice spot for dinner or drinks. (Recommend going early if you want to get in on weekend brunch, it’s very busy) The hotel is a block away from Pike Place and within walking distance to DT shopping and attractions. Parking is offsite, about a block away but at less than $30/day seems to be a steal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, would definitely recommend The State.

Great hotel near Pike Place
Mom and adult daughter stayed here for 3 nights before daughter's business conference in Seattle. The hotel is boutique-y, quiet, and situated 1 block from Pike Place Market. The beds are really comfy and the staff is really friendly! We took cocktails from the Ben Paris bar downstairs up to the terrace deck over-looking Puget Sound, where we visited with nice people from all over the USA. I will definitely stay here again!

Located in a great area, less than a block from Pike’s Place. The roof top had amazing views and the restaurant had wonderful service and delicious food. Overall, we had a wonderful time! The rooms were spotless, the staff were helpful and friendly and tons of shopping within walking distance. I’d stay again!

The property is very nice and very well maintained. Staff is responsive and amicable. The State is a 2 min walk from Public Place Market and Post Alley (Gum Wall). The Space Needle is about a 20 min walk from the State, It is not a bad walk if you are used to big city environments. The hotel amenities are also very welcomed. The Ben Paris restaurant on-site has come great local beers and I enjoyed that I can order room service from the restaurant! The only downside of my stay, was the one of the main features of the hotel, the terrace was unable to use on the first day I was there due to an event. However it was made up the next evening. The sunset view with rooftop bar is an AMAZING experience. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend staying at The State Hotel. It's amenities and close proximity to the Public Market, Post Alley and Piers/water taxi's makes this an even more pleasant stay. The terrace provides stunning views of the Waterfront and the Olympic national Park mountains. I am look forward to staying here on my next visit to Seattle!

Upsides: Style of hotel pretty (modern industrial ) room clean, bed comfy. Location close to Pike's market, walk everywhere, locked safe key entrance, customer service lovely and helpful. Downside: building way too tightly packed zero privacy without the blinds closed. can see into rooms easily from surrounding buildings

Everything was great, except I had called twice ahead of my stay to request that flowers be delivered to the room. (For my wife.) I was told it would not be a problem. But that request was unfulfilled. Very disappointing.
