We were only in Seattle for one night but our stay at the State Hotel made it a real treat. The hotel itself is gorgeous and looks to be newly renovated. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The artwork and wallpaper throughout the hotel are a nice touch. The restaurant downstairs, Ben Paris is delightful, and a nice spot for dinner or drinks. (Recommend going early if you want to get in on weekend brunch, it’s very busy) The hotel is a block away from Pike Place and within walking distance to DT shopping and attractions. Parking is offsite, about a block away but at less than $30/day seems to be a steal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, would definitely recommend The State.

Great place!
Stayed for a long weekend - had a beautiful view and enjoyed the roof top bar one afternoon. Central location - could walk to just about everywhere.

The hotel itself was lovely and the staff couldn’t be more friendly. Our room was lovely in terms of decor but unfortunately our stay was let down by the fact that our window looked directly at a wall (with a light under our window to light it up) so we couldn’t see out of our room. I don’t mind a bad view, but looking at a wall less than 1 metre from the window creates an unpleasant feel when you’re not expecting it - the hotel should really advertise these rooms as such. Sadly this wasn’t the start to our honeymoon we were expecting, especially for the price paid!

The property is updated and the rooms are small but very tastefully appointed. The bathroom is awesome and roomy. We had a 'view' of the building next door, literally, a wall two feet from our window. Fortunately it did let in natural light, however, I will be sure to try for a street view room should I stay there again. The price point is reasonable for the area. Parking is a block and a half away and is reasonable for in-out privileges although we never used the car for our two day stay. If you want to be a block from Pike Place, this is a solid option.
