It is in the Hopi nation, and I wanted learn about their culture. Unfortunately, the cultural center was not open and I had to leave. Maybe another time.

Located on the Hopi Reservation, its a great stopping place if youre exploring this remote part of Arizona.

We booked the hotel because we need a tour guide to blue canyon and that is required to have a Hopi guide. But the guide didn’t show up even though we accepted his offer through phone. He was very impatient to communicate with us on the phone. Hotel didn’t have warm water for shower, and no breakfast on Sundays.

The staff are very friendly. The building is old but fairly clean. There is a restaurant next to the front desk where you can enjoy Native American foods.

The staff were very friendly and helpful during a very busy time. We ate meals together with our large family and they did a great job accommodating us. The parking lot had good vendors selling their Hopi arts and crafts.

The hotel was very nice -- room was spacious and clean. Staff were professional and courteous. Unfortunately, there was no town (i.e., attractions, shopping, restaurants) nearby!

We needed a late check-in, made contact with hotel earlier and they said contact within a day of our stay. I tried to call and I was left with the option to email. We emailed we would arrive late, no response, we were left with no alternative but to go anyway. We were not able to contact anyone upon arrival and left without a room and we had to travel over an hour to get a room.

It was an awesome experience to be able to actually stay on an active reservation. Staff were ALL friendly & went out of their way to be helpful and answer questions. We plan on an annual trip to Arizona & plan to stay here again. We both look forward to seeing more local activities on our next stay.

A lightning strike had occurred close to or in the parking lot of the cultural center. So a medicine man/religious Council was called in to rid the area of bad stuff.
