At arrival I was asked for an unexpected $200 deposit. Went to room 256 but it should have been 156. Maintenance was sent to open the door at 256 and the room was already taken. Walked up and down stairs and to the office to straighten it out. No offer to make things better. Refrigerator was noisy and air system was noisy making it difficult to sleep.

The building is outdated. While handling our check-in, the front desk staff made a call to ensure that the window blind in the room was not broken, which suggested that the room had not been used for a while. In fact, it was the room he assigned to us. When we got there, we found it surprisingly old-fashioned, reminding me of a hotel room I stayed in while visiting Moscow 30 years ago. Furthermore, it was located near the vending machine, which produced loud noises whenever it was running. We requested to change the room, but the staff handled our request in a similar unhelpful manner and gave us one downgraded at the end of the corridor, which is the closest to the entrance door. The entire check-in process took more than an hour. The rating of this hotel on Expedia does not much to what I have experienced. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The staff (check-in, housekeeping) were all quite friendly. The facility shows it's age a bit but still quiet, comfortable, and clean. I am not sure what the "spa fee" was for. A pool, hot tub, and a work-out room? That is pretty standard stuff for a $15 per day fee. I would recommend they just fold the fee into the room price. I would definitely stay again.
