Seixal Bay apartments are located in front of Seixal bay, in the historic area of Arrentela and have access by foot to restaurants, terraces, public transport and other services. Its location next to the river allows walking or cycling, as well as other activities available in the area, such as the Stand Up Paddle or Kayak tours along the river.
This apartment has a bedroom with a double bed and can accommodate up to 3 guests as it has a sofa bed in the living room. It is fully equipped for a very comfortable stay. Free bicycles are available so that guests can explore the surroundings on two wheels.
The building is more than 200 years old and is referred to by the locals as the “Palacete”. It was once home to several generations of the same family. Its owners say they discovered it “accidentally” in 2014 on a late afternoon stroll in the fresh breeze of the bay. Although it was a little run down, it immediately caught their attention due to its architectural beauty and privileged location. Standing in the center of a small square, it ends up capturing the attention of those who cross the historic area of Arrentela, in Seixal.
The couple of owners tells us that the dream of their future home was born. They acquired the building and started the long and difficult process of restoration. In the course of the works, old frescoes were discovered on its walls and crown moldings, dated from that time, unfortunately too degraded to be recovered, as well as its imposing main door of a unique charm, which remains and transports us to times lived in the past. tidal rhythm, now full, now empty.
There is a mystique around the building and it is known that the little square on which it was built was protected and spared by Nossa Senhora da Soledade from the tsunami caused by the 1755 earthquake.
It is said, also in times that are already going there, that this building has already had several areas of commerce. It was a pharmacy, fishmonger, painting shop, office, and even a beauty salon. Now, it is the home of the current owners who also wanted to share with other people the good feelings and charms that they feel when entering the “Palacete” and therefore turned it into Local Accommodation.

Very nice accomodation with all you need
It was a very nice alternative to live out of the city center of Lissabon in Seixal. It was quite easy to go by Ferry to Lissabon city center. Around the appartement we´ve found nice restaurant at the river. The appartement itself was very nice, well and tastefull equipped and very clean. The communication with Ava was nice and contstructive. Really we could recomend the accomodation a lot. Customers who are reacting sensitive in noise...the main road is directly in front of the house and some cars from the area behind the house are passing by day and night time and sometimes this is really noisy. For us it was not a problem, but we think that this is an important fact for other clients to know, because you do not realize the traffic situation in the fotos.
