Was given a dirty duvet cover, replacement was also dirty! Rest of the room was good, towel rain great for drying wet clothes, limited breakfast options, limited parking but plenty of other plces to park.

Our 2-night stay at Hotel South Coast in Oct, 2024, was very good. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was decent, the rate was affordable rate, and the location was perfect for letting us do a full day trip on our own, driving south on Ring Road with an ultimate destination of Víkurfjara Black Sand Beach. There are also several good restaurants and food hall within walking distance.

given the accessible room - the shower curtain bar dropped and landed hard on my head when I stepped in. Flagged out to the staff who merely installed it back without any apology or offer to change room. The room we had was also right beside the carpark - a tour bus was parked late into the night with the engine running which made it difficult for us to sleep.

Great hospitality.
Issue with the door pad not working, not letting me in with card. The management did their best to resolve and fix asap. Also offered compensation for the inconvenience of fixing the door which was a first in Iceland, A+ on the hospitality side. Room was nice. Was able to open window and use provided fan to get room to a comfortable sleeping temperature. Only negative was the horrible low flow shower head which might be more of an Iceland or city issue. I would stay here again.
