Beautiful nights in the Lavender Express. Whirlpool tub was very enjoyable, very nice after a long day hiking. Shower was VERY tight for an adult guy... but overall very much enjoyed the nights in the train.

Very cute and charming idea for accommodations. My husband is a railroader so he wasnt too thrilled to spend more time on a train, but i think secretly i loved it. We had the steampunk car. It was a little tight fit for 2 people and our luggage but we made it work. Only issue we had was getting the cable to work, so we just watched one of the movies provided instead.

So Fun!
Such a fun experience! My kids absolutely loved sleeping in a train car. Everything was so well done and our car was nicely appointed and clean. It would have been nice to have more blankets. There were only two but the room has three beds. The grounds were well kept. Great experience overall.

Creative use of an old caboose! My wife and I enjoyed all of the special touches in our wine themed car, The Grape Escape. Don’t be apprehensive … it’s a great place to stay. Much more memorable and special than just another night in a standard hotel room.

Unforgettable Rail Ride!
The railway car converted lodging was very unique. The decor and setting were beautiful! I have always dreamed of staying in a rail car or San Francisco cable car converted lodging and this place made it come true! Just wish the bed was a little larger and more table space.
