The kitchen/dining room is ideal for rustling up tasty meals and, as the evening draws in, snuggle up by the wood burner.
Upstairs you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms with views out over the village toward the church and the majestic Giggleswick School chapel in the distance, and the owner has thoughtfully provided hairdryers. There is a large selection of walks in the area, with the Yorkshire Three Peaks a short drive away. Tackle just one or start early and challenge yourself with all three! This is Tour de Yorkshire country so cyclists will love the undulating hills and winding country lanes that snake through the area.
The bustling market town of Settle is under a mile away and offers a selection of country shops, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms. A trip on the Settle-Carlisle railway line takes you across the impressive Ribblehead Viaduct and showcases the Yorkshire Dales, as well as occasionally running steam trains. If you wish to venture further afield, the Ribble Valley is nearby with lots of picturesque villages featuring babbling becks and country inns. The Lake District National Park can be reached within an hour and is perfect for day trips as well as Morecambe Bay on the Fylde Coast. Or simply stay in, relax in front of the wood burner and cheers to a memorable stay in a truly fantastic holiday home. Please note that due to the steep staircase and uneven floors the cottage may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
