Beautiful building around the old walls. Terrific museum on site which is well worth a visit. Breakfast was very average and staff not very friendly. Ordered a vodka and tonic from the bar to be told they had none. Receptionist was extremely nice which made up somewhat for the rest of the staff.

A very restful stay for one evening. Staff were very friendly and informative. Buffet breakfast was delicious with attention to detail. Our room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Sorry that we hadn't booked an extra night! Highly recommended for a different hotel experience.

This is a special historic building that has been revived from ruins very sympathetically. Amazing location with panoramic views. The rooms were well appointed. Pool was not ready for the season but loved the uniqueness of the stay, 45 minutes from Lisbon city centre

Amazing stay, we had called ahead to confirm they had a functioning pool and A/C that actually worked, and when we arrived, they had gone to our room ahead of time to turn the A/C on to have it cool when we arrived. The employees were all so friendly, the pool area was fantastic and well kept, the room and views were unreal.

The castle was enchanting with lots to explore. Breakfast was good with a large variety to choose from. We ate in the dining room the first night, and it was not very good at all with poor choices.
