About this property

See y'all in April 2025 **GLAMPING IN THE SMOKIES**PRIVATE**LAKE**

CAMP WHITETAIL is a one-of-a-kind amazing glamping experience! It is a 2 bedroom, 330 sq ft tree-tent that is superbly COZY, nestled on a private 5-acre wooded site! It is camping with modern conveniences and without having to pack up the house.

Inside you will find a comfy custom-made Queen bed and Twin bunk beds, custom made table for two, a kitchen with running water and a stove, stocked with the basic necessities. (Note; if the weather is going to drop below freezing at night water will not be turned on during spring or late fall due to pipes and water heater freezing up.)All you'll need to bring is your food and a cooler. The outside covered porch/deck has rocking chairs to take in the peaceful views while sipping coffee in the mornings or just enjoy a quiet evening under the stars. An enclosed outdoor bathroom is just right outside the tent, with hot shower and a toilet loo. The logs by the fire pit, with plenty of firewood, invite you to sit and tell campfire stories and roast marshmallows while creating new memories. The trail then leads to the water, where you can enjoy a trip on the canoe and paddle board (provided for you), lay in the hammock or fish in the clear waters of Douglas Lake.

You can cook in the tent on the gas stove, the outdoor grill or cook on the open fire in the fire pit, sit by the handmade camp logs and enjoy your meal at the fireside.

The red path from the parking area and between the tree-tent and the bathhouse is well lit all the way with solar lights, you can also turn on the porch lights and light up the woods. There are charging outlets 120V/USB for cell phone/laptops. There are only electric blankets. Check lake levels at Douglas Lake water levels as the lake are lowered during the winter starting in September to about March. http://www.douglaslake.info/Level/

This glamping experience will be an unforgettable one for years to come.

Come and enjoy the great outdoors!

All the joys of camping without the inconveniences
We really enjoyed our stay and glamping experience. The entry instructions were easy to follow and it was a little bit magical walking down to the tent for the first time. Everything was perfect and very clean, even for my clean freak husband. We stayed with our 3 year old who was very excited to find games and toys for him to play with. We loved sitting on the balcony and even though it got into the upper 30s, we were all warm in our beds without the electric blankets. They really thought of everything you may need for a stay and to cook dinner. There was also plenty of firewood and even kindling and paper to get it started. Really all you need to bring is food! Everything else is taken care of! Host is very responsive. Its very private but I would say the only downside is the dogs barking at night. But everything else still makes it worth it. We would make the 5 hour trip down again! We headed into the Smokies and to Anakeesta, in Gatlinburg, which was a lot of fun for the 3 year old. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Excellent for a novice camper
We had a great time during our stay! Our 4 year old wanted to go camping so this was perfect. Adrian had so many nice touches to make our stay comfortable such as a wagon at the parking area to help with transporting stuff, firewood, and lots of blankets to keep warm! We ventured to the lake and were still about to go fishing further down even though the lake was lowered. We were not able to use the canoe. The bathhouse was a perfect touch and convenient. We loved that we had hot water! With it being cooler, we didn’t have as much of an issue with bugs but still couldn’t escape them (as to be expected when camping). We felt safe, still had phone service, and actually slept very well! From an inexperienced camper, 10/10 recommend if you are trying to get the camping experience!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
Our first experience with Glamping & we were more than satisfied with the experience! Only wish we’d booked a longer stay and got to enjoy more of the camp site but we stayed out on the town shopping more than in and didn’t get to take advantage of everything the camp had to offer! Will definitely be staying again!

First-Time Glampers
I’m so glad we chose this place as our first glamping experience. The location was private and peaceful. We were there in July, so it was warm at night, but we loved waking up to cool mornings and having coffee on the deck. We had fans at night to help us stay cool. One of our favorite things was the outdoor shower. The Smoky Mountains were incredibly beautiful. We hiked some of the trails, swam in the river and picnicked along the way. This was a wonderful vacation. We would definitely do it again!

Hidden Hideaway
What a nice place tucked away in the woods. The kids spent hours in the lake, while my wife and i spent time hanging out around camp. Definitely a cozy place. Everything we could possibly need was available, was definitely nice to know if we needed something it was no further than a text away!

Perfect Family Getaway!
This “glamping” experience was adorable! The hosts had everything you need to enjoy the woods and the lake. We enjoying just sitting on the porch relaxing and playing games, making S’mores by the campfire, and taking the canoe out on the lake! We are not a camping family, so this was the perfect fit. We never felt uncomfortable (despite 90+ degree days) and enjoyed every moment of our trip! We hope to visit again!

Even in the heat
We had such a great time. It was a hot 3 days but the fans that were there kept the air circulating. We all had a much needed break from everything and the privacy was wonderful. We will try to come back in the fall.

Perfect quiet getaway
As a family of campers our daughters were a little worried about wanting to camp with our tents in a state with bears are present. This place was PERFECT. Us adults were still able to enjoy the peace and quiet of camping without the stress of set up/tear downs and our girls felt comfortable since it felt more like a house. Property was clean and had all the supplies we needed! It rained off and on the whole week, there were zero issues. All around a very nice place. The only two “issues”, more like slight inconveniences, were the dogs barking at all hours of the night (light sleepers), and the outhouse door butts up to the tent frame. It was hard to carry sleeping kids to the bathroom in the middle of the night when you can’t open the door fully. But, I would highly recommend checking this place out! We have already been spreading the word!

Peaceful escape
We had a great time at camp whitetail. The area is serene and beautiful. The cove at the lake is a little walk from the tent but absolutely worth it. We brought our kayaks for fishing and should have brought a cart to take them down. Adrian was very helpful with recommending a bait shop close by. The tent is clean and stocked with just about anything you could need. I would definitely recommend staying here if you love nature and being away from the hustle of the city.
