Murphy's Alaskan Inn was a pleasant surprise in the middle of Seward AK. A bit older property, but rooms are nice and clean, and everything works correctly. We had a good stay. Thank you.

It seems they do not own a vacuum and something in the bathroom was always leaking water. Even after asking for our room to be re cleaned it was no better. Great location but a very dirty hotel room. Carpeting and bathroom were disgusting.

No late check in.
The room was nice, but we were checking in late and they were supposed to hide a key for us. They didn’t. So I had to bug the poor people who live there to check us in. It’s not the fault of the employees. It’s the fault of the hospitality company that answers the phone. Not fun after 12 hours of traveling.

This was a mixed stay. The staff was friendly, but not particularly committed to customer service. They had a "student doing a summer job" kind of vibe. Some things were very good. The towels were really soft.The beds were quite comfortable.The toilet paper and tissues were top quality. But our room (107) needed maintenance. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, the toilet handle fell off when flushed, the towel rack by the sink was missing (the brackets are on the walll, but no bar), there is a significant gap under the door, and the plug for the clock by the bed turns off when the wall switch is toggled (so the clock turns off and resets to12:00 when turned back on). And there is a coffee maker in the lobby. It worked on Wednesday morning but not on Thursday.

The property was nice. We felt safe and some shops were close by. I would have given them a perfect rating except I took an ice cold shower 2 days in a row. We had the end handicap unit and there was no earthly way to warm that water up. Our friends in the next unit had no problem.

Only one sheet on each bed. Plenty of nice towels,one hand towel, no wash cloth. Need to do something about sound from upstairs room. The individual was not noisy but I heard every footstep, and he dropped his boots, etc

I checked this room from this inn. This TV has Disney Plus, Youtube, and other TV programs. Unfortunately, Disney Plus and other TV programs don't seem to work for me, only Youtube works.

The Motel location is ideal to reach downtown or cruise terminal. All staffs including front desk and housekeeping are very nice and helpful. However, the motel's condition is terribly unclean in bathroom and disgusting bedding.
