Captains Cottage is a newly renovated Victorian cottage with all the ingredients for the perfect Island break.
Egyptian cotton bedding + towels, aromatherapy toiletries and a deep free standing bath to relax in after a fun filled day are just a few of the luxuries awaiting you.
Large enclosed garden with views of beautiful Shanklin Down.
The local area has something for everyone. Beautiful sandy beaches, restaurants, bars, cafés, and activities to suit all ages.

Captains Cottage sleeps eight (including an adult sized bunk bed).
Travel cot available on request.
An extremely spacious home, featuring a large conservatory, dining room, games room, large mature gardens featuring a BBQ and Fire Chiminea, so there is plenty of space for everyone.

You will have the whole house to yourself.
The Neighborhood:
Shanklin has beautiful sandy beaches, a charming old village, Shanklin Chine waterfalls, the Theatre and a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and Cafes as well as a wide range of supermarkets, delis, butcher, etc.
The beach features mini golf, adventure arcades as well as as some fantastic bars, restaurants, cafes and a beautiful thatched roof pub.
The Island has a huge range of events and activities around the year. The beach, stunning countryside, theme parks and extraordinary events make it an ideal get away, year-round.

Wonderful house in Shanklin
The 8 of us had a fabulous time staying for a long weekend in this very beautiful, comfortable, well situated and spacious home.

An excellent stay arranged by a wonderful host
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Isle of Wight and this home provided the perfect base for us. We spent countless hours sunbathing in the garden, reading in the conservatory and even cheered on Wimbledon from the lounge. Charlotte was an excellent host and was very hospitable from the off - I couldn’t recommend her and this lovely home highly enough.

Immaculate and spacious - very high quality
We have stayed in a lot of holiday homes over the years (my mum treats us all as it is special family time) and your house is definitely in our top 3. If not our all time favourite! My 14 year old daughter is fantasising about living here!
The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. As were all of the little things which you thought of too, such as the guide books, the lovely cups and plates, the amazing smellies (I am converted!) and the lovely dog bed. Everything felt luxurious and new, especially in the kitchen. We spent most of our time in the conservatory which was a lovely space to sit as a family of 7.
What a great location too! The house served as a wonderful base for morning runs along the railway and the beach, train rides out and trips to Lidl!
It is clear that a lot of love, thought, time and energy has gone into making this one very special place to stay. It has an air of luxury whilst still feeling really homely.
Thank you for creating a space which feels welcoming and cared for. We can't wait to return.
