You can't get any closer to the Lake! On the sunny Eastern side of Shawnigan with full sun in the summer months until after 9pm. Open concept Kitchen and Living Room with large front deck & bbq. 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with full laundry facilities.
This house is great for 4 to 6 people (2 bedrooms plus a pull out) and is a family-oriented location - no parties and quiet time is after 10PM. Parking is roadside with 2 spots available directly outside the house. Please note that NO SMOKING is ALLOWED, including the dock. We accept only hypoallergenic dogs due to allergies.
Visit local farms, cideries, wineries, and beautiful backroads all at your doorstep.

Quiet getaway at the water’s edge
We had a lovely time at the lake. Less than an hour from the city (Victoria) and felt a million miles away. So quiet and peaceful. We swam and paddled every day. The accommodation was excellent and kitchen/BBQ very well-equipped. I thought there was a hot tub and could have used one on some of those cool days (swimming in 18 degree weather). We couldn’t figure out how to make the outdoor shower not scalding hot. Those are my only complaints and I’m sure I could have messaged the host but I was feeling lazy and needed time away from my device. Awesome place all around!

Great location off quiet street. Lakefront with great exposure and private dock. As advertised with good communication from the owners. There are a few stairs to navigate down to the dock for people with mobility challenges. Hope to stay here again.

Stellar Location
Overall the property was a hit with my grandkids. They swam and played every single day. The beds were comfortable, the house was bright and airy. The only bummer is that the listing clearly stated that there was a hot tub and a jacuzzi tub. There was a jacuzzi tub inside but no hot tub which is one of the reasons I booked this house over another house I was looking at.

The property was lovely. It was right on the lake with a dock for swimming etc. The cittagw was really a 3 bedroom house with all the amenities needed fir a relaxing stay

Beautiful lakefront experience
Gorgeous location! Overall the stay was excellent. The house and dock are well laid out and the property has everything you need for a fantastic holiday at the lake. Being able to jump right in the water is wonderful! There were a couple of minor drawbacks, however. The air conditioning is limited to the bedrooms, which would be good to specify in the description. Additionally, the toilets and shower had not been adequately cleaned (the shower seemed to have not been cleaned in some time and the toilet situation might have been partly lakewater stain, but there was a ring around the bowl as well); however, the owners rebated $30 from the cleaning fee which was a nice gesture, albeit fell a wee bit short.

Home away from Home
We stayed for 7 nights at the end of August and from the moment we arrived we did not require anything more because this rental was so great. There was everything we needed, we brought all our food and easily prepared all our meals at ease with the bbq, stove & oven, toaster ect. The additional items like Sugar, towels, paper towels, dish soap, Saran Wrap,Tinfoil, ice cubes, Filtered water Tap, the everyday items you use but wouldn’t bring on a trip. Which is why each of us said it was like staying at a Home away from Home. They even had dog dishes and a dog bed for our Labernese. We all felt welcomed in this home. Having coffee on the dock each morning while our nephew and dog swam was such a delight. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic spot for a family vacation
Our family of four spent four nights at this lovely spot, soaking up the sun and swimming in the lake. It was perfect for our family getaway with our young adult sons. Clean, comfortable, well stocked with kitchen supplies, water toys and beach towels. We had a great time.

Beautiful! Walk out the door and jump in the lake! Loved it, great place, very clean, stocked with everything you need, good communication with hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved that we could bring our dogs. Highly recommended.

Perfect summer getaway!
This lakefront property is absolute perfection! Just as described, it has absolutely everything you need - fully equipped, kitchen, newer barbeque, towels galore. You won’t have to think about a single thing except groceries. All your time will be spent relaxing on the glorious deck or swimming in the warm Shawnigan water. The hosts provided a stand up paddleboard and some other water “toys”. Our teenagers fished off the dock, went wake surfing, and just generally had a blast! A million thanks…hopefully we’ll be back next year.
