Good location, staff are always polite and friendly. Breakfast is really good for a buffet style with lots of choices well presented. I have stayed here a number of times going back 10-12 years and can recommend this hotel. The main meal offering isn’t the best choice but what there is ok, it’s basic. However there’s numerous places to eat in walking distance. No pool or spa but that’s a known when you book. Fairly close to rail station and if you take the car there’s a few car park options nearby.

Great hotel. Would definitely stay again. Would give 4.5 stars. We were allowed an early check-in as room was ready. Very polite front desk staff. Really big room and very comfortable beds. Loses half a star as air con was difficult to work and key card was very precarious. It took about 10 attempts to get in room or lift and at first i shoulder barged the room door before realising the key didn't really work. Wouldn't be great for elderly guests.

The toilet seat was wonky, the thermostat barely worked, there was an awful draft sound from the window, the kettle still had water in it which smelt odd ( like old water) the tv was a shade of blue which ruined watching it, the tv would also benefit from having youtube. Overall not too impressed, the staff were great and the lobby was lovely, bed was
