Incorrect invoice / double charged
I traveled here for business and although my stay was reasonably comfortable, I am really disappointed in the service. Upon checking out I noticed that my invoice reflects that I was charged twice for the stay, and for over three weeks the management has not remedied this. I have contacted the hotel by phone and email numerous times only to be told that they are still working on it and that it’s a complicated financial issue. I wish they could get it together because otherwise my stay was fine.

We haven’t stayed here before. When we checked in the staff were friendly but it would have been helpful if they told us a bit about the hotel, where the lifts are etc. The room was clean, but it was small and for £149 room only it was not value for money. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. There was absolutely no view though and the TV kept breaking.

Stay somewhere elee until it's running smoothly
Unwelcoming and poorly managed despite great views. This is a new hotel, that's the good news and the bad news. The good: rooms are immaculate (so had the towelling bathrobe been sent there from another Radisson to be frayed so badly?) The bad: cannot get into hotel from car drop off even phoning number displayed. Noone comes to help. In the end, while traffic cops tried to ticket our car and another guest's car who was also trying to get in, the other guest got their spouse to come down and let us in. The cop was friendly and waited and did not ticket us!. The hotel stinks from the new carpets, really powerful off-gassing. Its eco credentials mean you cannot open the window to air the room out. We both got headaches. The heating system in the room is very hard to use, we had to download a PDF online and go to the clock setting every time we needed to turn it on. The bathroom shower is great but the door is hard to get in, we are skinny, god help anyone large as they'd have to step into the shower to get into the bathroom it is so small. TV signal is constantly glitching. The reception staff was superficially friendly, but when asked a couple of questions about why guests can't get in or get a contact at Reception when arriving by car, they said, "It's not my hotel;" We know they don't own the hotel, but come on! We like other Radisson Blu hotels & I visit Sheffield for work once or twice a month. I won't be going back, I'm sticking to slightly tired but friendly Leopold

Great location at city centre. Seems a bit understaffed, reception actually helped carry my bags to the room. Small but clean rooms, though wish the windows opened a bit. The breakfast was nice.

The hotel is brand new so very clean and modern. When I shared a problem with the room to staff they were kind enough to move me right away without making me feel like an inconvenience. The breakfast was nice and had good gluten free options unlike most.

Asked for a twin, got a double - luckily my daughter wasnt with me. Heating didnt work, tv was intermittent. Got an ajoining room - and the couple returned at 1am, woke me up - and kept me awake for 2hrs. Very thin walls. And the £30 breakfast was just average. So not a great time

Everything was great other than trying to check out in the morning - there are two reception desks but only one is in use. From our room the signs took us to the reception that isn't in use and so we had to come out of the building and walk all the way round to the main one! The signs really need updating if you can only use one reception and stop directing you to the closed one. We were in a rush on our way out and this really did not help. Shame as the rest of the stay was great.

Check in was a disaster. Reception team were short and snappy, obviously understaffed. I had multiple bags which I needed help with, had to use the trolley on my own and manoeuvre around the hotel. No phones in room to contact front desk. When I arrived at the hotel I had to use another door due to staffing problems. Followed instructions but this took several attempts to be answered.

Very little shower gel in the room, only half the sockets were working, despite trying multiple ones, making getting ready very challenging. Spoke with reception the next day, didn’t seem to really care and said when you stay again tell us and we can sort it but we were on a tight timeline and didn’t have time. We will not be staying again, very average hotel no charm.

Property is newly completed ( Sept 2024 ) so all the facilities are clean and new. Room was very nice. However, the staff seem to be having a few troubles getting in the swing of things. They were unable to check us in, so they sent us to the bar for a free drink and they would come and get us, with room keys in due course. The free drink was great, but nobody ever came with the keys, we had to have another attempt to check in later. Hmmm that didn't impress. Then the fire alarm system - we found ourselves standing in the park at 4:30 AM for a false alarm. And again the next morning. Not fun. I am sure these were just start-up issues. Although staff forgetting guests they sent to the bar is basic. Hotel, was clean, nice and new. Would try it again.
