First, the things we really liked: There is a beautiful view of the creek in the back and we spent a few hours just hanging out there. The house itself is quaint and very quiet, We couldn't hear anyone in other rooms at all (there was no TV in our room, I don't know about the others) and it's on a very quiet street. We were in room 3, which was small, but I could see that room 1 was large. The room was nice with just a few cosmetic flaws that didn't bother me, a few cracks in the ceiling and slightly peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. A few things in the room need to be repaired or replaced though. There's a small step on the floor before you get to the bathroom. Bill warned us to be careful of it, but I think a carpenter could turn that into a slope so no one would trip. I'm surprised on one has yet. The appliances are old. Bill had to unclog the toilet for us our first night there, so we had to leave the room in our pajamas and sit downstairs, so the plumbing could probably be better. The ceiling fan light wobbles when you pull the light and fan chains. I don't think it would fall down but that could use an upgrade. A full length mirror and a mini fridge would be great additions too. I would also suggest giving the guests flashlights, as the walk from the area where the restaurants are to the hotel is pitch dark. All in all, a nice, quiet place to stay
