Nestled in the picturesque City of Elkton in the Shenandoah Valley, this - 2023 renovated home built in 1922 has two (2) Bedrooms and one and a half (1.5) Full bathroom with marble and porcelain - homestay offers the perfect getaway. Just 5 miles east and a 10 minute drive from The Farmhouse, you’ll find Skyline Drive, the Appalachian Trail, numerous hiking trailheads. There is exceptional nighttime stargazing from anywhere in the area.

The Winegard Farmhouse has a spacious Kitchen and Dining Room . This leads to a large Living Room with 11 Foot Ceilings with leather seating and a huge credenza with puzzles and games plus a 55” Smart Samsung T.V. The Kitchen is the heart of the 1st floor with a quaint and private cover side porch. The other side of the kitchen has an alcove / office with desk and monitor. Your stairs to the sunroom and sleeping quarters are also accessible from the kitchen. Your stackable washer/dryer is in a room accessible from the kitchen.

Public Access to the river via Riverside Park is less than a 5 minute drive to the Shenandoah River, with tubing, kayaking, lounging, and fishing. The house is situated between the Massanutten Resort and the Shenandoah National Park Swift Gap Run Entrance/Blue Ridge Parkway. Within 35 minutes are the beautiful Luray Caverns.
Within 25 minutes are the Dukes and James Madison University and Rocktown or Harrisonburg with many restaurants and breweries.

Adjacent to your entrance is a Large Firepit with a Smokeless Breeo w/a Grill for cooking outdoors and enjoying the sunset and western views of the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountain ranges.
