We enjoyed the homey atmosphere . Instead of a hotel chain, it felt more personal. It is older and could use updating but the price was right and our experience was very comfortable.

Nothing fancy but a pleasant stay
This was a convenient and affordable place to stay in Shipshewana. The breakfast was a highlight of staying there, with many options, including hot food. The staff are friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel is a bit dated but everything worked.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed, the breakfast was better with more choices than before, however the pet fees doubled and they didn't make me aware until check in. Thankfully i was able to pay it as all the other pet friendly places would have been booked. Rooms are decent, breakfast good, enough grass for the pets to play and potty also a very clean area.

The room was dusty,they only straitened up our room once, only gave us more towels once…in three days. The food for breakfast was not very good and did not replenish the hot food. We have been there several times,but this was our last.

Room was so, so. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was horrible. There were sausages that seemed uncooked (color), their eggs tasteless, and tots were not cooked properly. Only enough seating for around 10, very closed in area. Staff, both times same person morning and evening acted as though we were a bother to her. This is very unacceptable especially when i rent 2 rooms and give them my business.

This motel is not like the pictures. It needs some serious upgrades. The rooms were clean but the lobby is cluttered and smells really bad. Not a place you would want to try to eat their breakfast.

wasnt hotels fault since hotels.com never let them
hotels.com never submitted reservation, when we got there to check in they were booked fully with no rooms available. Said they had no reservation under our name. we had the itinerary for proof. offered us a cabin on camp grounds with no bathroom but had to pay for this . so hope we dont get charged for a room that wasnt available

Some things need improvement
Pros: room was neat, clean, furnishings updated and breakfast hot items were a pleasant surprise. Cons: not the greatest soundproofing between rooms, bedside light kept going out and front desk just told us to use the other lights in the room, front desk clerk on checkin was okay but not very friendly.
