Overall it’s a very nice hotel. We were on the 2nd floor and it was relatively quiet. One thing we notice was that the elevator was small and couldn’t accommodate my husband’s wheelchair but could his walker.

Very clean Nice breakfast - both cold and hot choices Front desk personal were welcoming and helpful We have stayed at other hotels in Shipshewana,however The Van Buren is going to be our choice going forward. Great location to restaurants, Flee Market, and shops.

We have stayed there numerous times and always have been very pleased with the accommodations. This trip, we took our son & his wife and they were also pleased with the cleanliness of the facility, not to mention how quiet it was and the fabulous breakfast! Awesome customer service!
We went to flea market got some wodden sculptures and we couldnt fit them in vehicle with all of our stuff. I tried to check in at one, just to put our stuff someplace in order to get our sculptures. I asked lady if i could just put our stuff on a roll buggy and she said sure and she would put in back so noone would take it. How awesome was that!!! Beyond customer service!!!! Thank u!!!!

First time staying here and go to Shipshewana regularly. The pool is small, wasn’t very clean. The free breakfast was mediocre at best- not super clean. Night staff When we checked in, we’re very nice. Due to traveling, we didn’t check in until 2 AM. They said it would be easy to extend our stay. They had plenty of rooms available just call down there. I called down the next day. Also arranged for a late check out at 1pm When I had checked in this morning They were knocking on our door rudely before the check out time. Wouldn’t let me rebook over the phone and then gave me completely different pricing than what I had just gotten only a few hours before. The woman running the front desk during the day with the chest tattoo is extremely rude. We normally stay at Bluegate and that’s definitely where I will stay going forward.
