Our room didn’t have hand soap, there was a used bar on soap in the bathtub area. A screw sticking out of the bottom (outside) tub ended up scratching my leg. The shower curtain didn’t keep water from getting on the floor, we had to use the floor mat and our towels to clean up water. With the used soap along with no hand soap made me feel the room wasn’t properly cleaned. Very disappointing.

The property was very run down. The room was very dated. There were 2 beds a cabinet that the tv set on and one chair. The room was large but empty. The carpet and drapes needed a good cleaning. The bathroom sink was clogged. There was no hot water when we arrived to our room. The phone in our room was not working. I wanted to call the desk but I was unable to because the phone was not working. We were not allowed to check in until after 4pm or we would be charged a ten dollar fee. I was not allowed in the casino because my drivers license was cracked. I was told because it was altered they could not let me in the casino. I would not recommend this property to stay at if you’re visiting Shreveport.

Overall the property (lobby & casino area) was nice. The issue I had was with the rooms. I had to be moved to 2 different rooms each one I found hair on the beds. Video taken and shared with hotel supervisor. Kelly did the best she could to apologize and offer resolution but not feeling the rooms / beds were properly cleaned made me very uncomfortable. The carpet appeared in vacuumed and the furniture didn’t appear to have been wiped down. There was also a slight old/musty smell and a stinch in the air of cigarettes or ash trays even though the rooms were non smoking. I didn’t enjoy my stay. Only stayed one night although reserved for 2. Checked into another hotel next day.

Tired Hotel & No Good Coffee
The biggest thing for me was that the room -particularly the bathroom was not clean and you can’t get or make a decent cup of coffee (not even instant). Housekeeping is by request only (they should make that clear on the listing). The sheets were replaced with ones that had holes in them. The towels were a mix of threadbare and shedding. I called housekeeping 3 times in one day to just ask for fresh towels. They may be understaffed but it feels like very few people working care to be there at all. Most of the restaurants are more like a mall food court in the lobby where the music is a bit too loud. There’s also nowhere to sit in the lobby if you’re waiting for colleagues or friends. This being said, I give them credit for only permitting smoking IN the casino and the air filtration system is pretty great at keeping the lobby and hallways low-odor.

Checkin was not very pleasant. I know early checkin was a cost but 45 minutes early cost $15 and to change rooms was $15 this us not very good service eespecially if another room was available. Young lady at checkin was not very nice and would not respond to questions just look straight at you like you were stupid!!

My first time here!
My recent stay at Horseshoe Bossier was enjoyable, with only minor hiccups. Check-in took a little longer than expected due to a trainee assisting the family in front of us. She seemed a bit unsure of the process, but she was clearly doing her best to help them. Even though the situation was hectic, she stayed calm and kind, which I appreciated. This small delay was the only low point of our stay and wasn’t a big deal overall. Our room on the 11th floor was wonderful. It was clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom had plenty of space, and the city view was surprisingly nice. It was the perfect setup for a relaxing stay. We had breakfast at the Burger Bar, which was both delicious and reasonably priced. While we didn’t play the slot machines this time, we felt completely safe walking around the property, which is always a priority for us. The hotel was spotless, and the Christmas decorations added a lovely, festive touch to the experience. Parking was a breeze in the garage, which made coming and going simple and stress-free. Overall, we had a great stay and will choose Horseshoe Bossier again in the future!
