Wonderful stay. Beautiful building, lavish room. Great afternoon tea, dinner and lovely breakfast. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Only minor let down was turn down service offered but never performed Will definitely be retuning again when we are in the area

An inviting hideaway
Our first visit here and definitely won’t be the last. It is an amazing place - friendly helpful staff, a beautiful clean room and the decor is outstanding. The chef is a credit to the hotel and the grounds are just waiting to be explored. We have travelled extensively both in the UK and abroad and can honestly say it is the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Nothing more to say except to highly recommend it.

Outstanding service the staff are so friendly and professional could not do enough for you. Such a well kept property clean and maintained so well, both grounds and house. Food was excellent and again the service just made it so special. We had a classic double room and we were very happy with it the little touches of a welcome letter and Elemis products, the only issue we had was our radiators didn’t work so was a little chilly but William straight away brought us up an oil filled heater and it soon warmed the room through. There is a cinema room but unfortunately we could experience it as it was booked up but next time we will try to book in. Definitely will be a next time

This place is a delight. If i had to make any recommendations it would be to change the directions help on Hotels.com to the proper entry rather than the way our/tradesman’s entrance. The approach to the hotel is spectacular and should not be missed.

Wonderful place
Wonderful place. Exceptional service. Friendly and attentive staff. Very clean. The gardens are great. This is an excellent wedding location and lives up to the photographs. We stayed for one night as part of a long journey north. I would have stayed for a week if I could. Will definitely be back.
