A nice two night break away Hotel was lovely a bit dated and out of the way but the staff , food for breakfast and atmosphere were great Downside the rooms were really cold until you got the aircon kicking in But overall a nice hotel with breakfast included Took 1 hour to walk into town Bus stop not far away £3 each Uber taxi on return £5 each

The staff make the entire experience of staying here; the best.They are a pleasure to have met and an asset to this hotel, Shrewsbury and set the bar. They are hardworking, approachable, friendly, and greet you warmly. I personally feel they're a pretty special bunch. Every single time I've stayed here, I honestly can't wait to return. If you live near or far, give this hotel and it's staff a chance, because you won't be disappointed. The breakfast is heaven, the room's etc are spotlessly clean, fantastic views of the Wrekin and Haughmond Hill too:) There's a chippy, Greggs' and a small convenient little Co Op also only about five minutes away, if you're after some lunch grub etc. I used to live up this part of town, and there's local bus services on both the london and wenlock road in to shrewsburys' town centre and also heading out of town to Telford etc aswell. Free car parking on hotel site, you just need to register your vehicle at reception, when checking in. I've had three stay's here now and loved every single one and can't thank the staff enough, for everything. So if you fancy travelling to our pretty " Town Of Flowers" which Shrewsbury is famous for ( aswell as it being globally known as scientist Charles Darwins' birthplace, and our fantastic anual Flower Show) Oh and Shrewsbury has three hundred black and white buildings too!:) So this is the place to come and stay:)

Excellent visit, reception staff professional yet friendly and helpful. Room as clean, warm and comfortable. Would have preferred a bath instead of the shower but this in no way reflects badly on our stay with you. We travel a lot nowadays following my retirement but this was our first visit to Holiday Inn. We will definitely use you again. 😀😀😀

An ok weekend stay
The Staff were friendly, the room was a good size and clean and all the items were in working order. Breakfast was busy but well-staffed and the food was hot and topped up when necessary. The room was directly over the staff exit to the kitchen/reception area - on Saturday night the staff were going out the back smoking and slamming the door each time they exited and re-entered the building which was very loud in our room when we were trying to sleep. The main door to the room did not have a complete seal so light from the corridor spilt into the room in a line which was also a distraction whilst trying to sleep.

The whole hotel was just wonderful and friendly, all the staff welcomed us like family and the weekend reception staff especially were absolutely brilliant. Breakfast was great too.

The hotel was good value but the location to the Town Centre was not really walkable and taxis were limited however it was the busy Christmas period. Staff were friendly , we enjoyed our stay.

Really friendly and helpful staff!
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is that the dinner options weren’t that varied having said that the service was great. I didn’t have to wait long to be served. Also the internet in the room was constantly dropping so had to travel into Telford to attend a work related event.
