$150 deposit is obscene in this economy. They don’t about it coming out of anyone’s pocket, even when hotels.com called them. And I don’t care that it’s a temp charge. Refundable in 5-7 business days is money well spent elsewhere-literally. Cute how they don’t show it on the invoice or have a disclaimer taped to the front desk like their other charges either. Went from 4 nights to 1 in a place that should’ve paid for my daughters and me to stay there. One bed didn’t have a duvet and was dirty, room had a smell, no hand towels, hot and cold water took forever to regulate because knobs weren’t smooth turning, entrance parking lot full of potholes and apples in lobby had started to turn. No matter the turquoise paint and turquoise retro looking appliances, a spade is a spade. Waste of my time and money. See pics for potential additional charges and pet policy-no cats.

The person at the fromt desk was incompetent. It took forever to check in because the guy in front of us was using multiple cards and she couldn’t do it. I’ve stayed here previously and it must have changed hands. It’s gone way downhill in every way. We will not be back.

I would not recommend staying at the LuLu Hotel in Silver City. During my stay, I discovered bed bugs in the room. I reported the issue to the front desk but the lady was unapologetic and dissmisive given how serious the problem is. I did talk to the manager, who was out of town and he said that they will resolve the issue I have photos documenting the infestation, and I am in contact with corporate to request a full refund. Now I have to take extra precautions to make sure the bugs didn’t come home with me. The property needs to address pest control and cleanliness immediately before accepting more guests. Until that happens, I strongly advise others to stay elsewhere
