Other things to note
--We are in an area where all kinds of wildlife thrive. With that comes a responsibility to be aware of your interactions with them. You will be responsible for any type of encounter and it's outcome.
--We have WiFi on site
--Each cabin has a toaster oven rather than a full oven.
--We have ample parking on site so if you are traveling with a trailer, know that we have enough space for your parking needs.
--We are on a well system here -- be aware of your water usage. A septic system has its own requirements which we will inform you upon your arrival.
--River Rest is a brand new build, so we will be upgrading the landscaping, but do not anticipate that it will impact your visit with us. We want to keep it as natural as we can with a few added touches to enhance your stay with us.
--Our property is partially fenced: the east side is marked with red ties to mark the irrigation ditch. It is not for wading or swimming and guests will be responsible for their own safety when approaching and crossing over the bridge.
--This cabin is log sided and the porch is constructed with rough sawn lumber so shoes should always be worn on the porch and just be mindful not to run your hands over the surface as could get splinters.

Relaxing spot
We stayed at the cabin for two nights to relax and fish between visiting Glacier and Big Sky. It was harder for the men to get to the river than we thought it would be, but it was a very relaxing place to stay. We cooked our own meals in the very well equipped kitchen. The cabin was very clean and we loved the front porch. We (ladies) visited Twin Bridges one afternoon and loved the town museum, coffee shop and grocery store.

Wonderful place
A wonderful place in a beautiful location. The cabin is very clean and nicely appointed. Plenty of room for four adults. The location is easy to access, quiet, and there is plenty to see and do in the area within a short drive.

Great views of the Tobacco Root Mountains
The place was very clean and looked to be fairly new. Great views of the mountains and you could walk down to the Jefferson River. House was very well stocked with necessities. The only thing was we hit there on the hottest days of the year. It was around 100 during the day and with no air conditioning it was the middle of the night before it cooled down any in the house. Nobody’s fault, it was just extremely hot during the day, but by morning that cool mountain air had it really cool in there. These are very nice cabins and I would stay there agin if I was in Silver Star.

Ruby cabin
Overall, a very nice experience. Cabin was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Maybe I missed it in the listing, but the picture makes it appear as if these cabins are off by themselves on a chunk of private land, when in fact, they are on the outskirts of a small town called silver star. There was also a camper set up within 60 feet of the back of the cabin. It ended up being perfectly fine, just not what I expected. Also, there is no AC in these cabins, which wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker for me, it it was 90+ and calm, which made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. I would definitely stay again, just maybe not in the heart of summer.

Small town
This is a newer rental. I was wrong but saw this as being closer to the river and I didn't even see a way to walk to it BUT there is a fishing access down the road. Be aware that the town you are in does not have a store or gas. We were a ways from Virginia and Nevada City and we did enjoy walking about Nevada City. Everything is close in both these places during our visit which was ok for us. The home does not have everything you need, not even salt and pepper and maybe in the future they will have more. There was a a very small coffee pot like you would find in a hotel room. No air conditioning for the summer but there are ceiling fans. There is a barbque, you will need charcoal which is not mentioned in the ad. Not exactly a homey feeling in this home and we have rented a lot of homes by using VRBO. Bring all the food you will need as there is no place to shop. After visiting Nevada City and Virginia City we went to Ennis which has more places to get the things you might need. The owner is really a nice lady.
