Good pleasent stay
Convenient stay within walking distance to two MRT stations and 20 minutes to the centre of town. Amenities nearby and 5 minute walk to Maxwell Hawker market which is great. Rooms are tidy, clean - albeit on the small side, which is to be expected in a city like Singapore. A nice pleasent stay.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing to be mindful tis the rooms are very small. If I stayed here again I would not share a room.

Yes, the room is small, but it's no smaller than described, so it really is what it's advertised to be. Comfy room, great views over Chinatown with a floor to ceiling window. The location is unbeatable - close to MRT stations and an array of hawker centers on your door step. We didn't use the pool or the restaurant, but they both looked lovely. The only comment is that there seem to be a lot of large, possibly tour, groups staying at the moment, so the lobby was always very crowded with people hanging around.

Perfect location. Close proximity to MRT, shopping, river front and plenty of dining options in surrounding streets. No need to include breakfast which was expensive at S$32 per person when there are hawker centres nearby. The rooms however, especially the bathroom were very small, but overall, a very convenient place to stay.

Rooms have limited amenities. Just a toothbrush. Rooms are small. Breakfast is poor and crowded. Tables aren't wiped down even when they do become available. Gym is tiny. But the worst is the staff. Unwelcoming unfriendly and lazy.

We stayed at the Mercure for two days, and while it was pricy, we were hopeful given that it had only been open for five months. Our arrival and check-in process went smoothly, and the luggage staff were welcoming. The breakfast and pool were lovely, but we encountered a few significant concerns during our stay. Firstly, the front desk staff seemed overly vigilant, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere for guests. My mother, who has accessibility issues, was sitting in the lobby and was approached multiple times with an attitude, instructing her to move. It’s important to remember that hotel lobbies are meant for waiting and seating, so this lack of awareness was concerning. Additionally, we noticed a disparity in the treatment of guests; Caucasian guests appeared to receive better service compared to guests of other racial backgrounds, which was quite surprising. The second major issue was the size of the rooms. They were much smaller than we expected, and the bathroom facilities felt cramped. For a new hotel, one would assume that the rooms and bathrooms would be designed for comfort and accessibility, but this was not the case. The washroom had an unpleasant odor, which we reported to the staff, but no action was taken to resolve it. Another significant concern was the difficulty in reaching front desk staff during emergencies. When calling the front desk, we often found ourselves waiting ten minutes or disconnected, which was shocking.
