Our stay at Howard Plaza hotel.
Clean and comfortable room. The hotel does not feature a coffee shop for a small meal. Mainly all buffet service. There is a bar off the main lobby. OK for a drink but not for a small meal. Also, service is kind of slow. The hotel features an excellent Cantonese and Shanghainese restaurant, but again not suitable for just a single person, or two. On one occasion I witnessed a very long queue just to check in. One easily had to wait in line for 30++ minutes. I had a very strange experience with the Housekeeping department where I was required to PAY IN ADVANCE in return to having the laundry delivered. Upon checking at the front desk for an explanation I was not given ANY SENSIBLE answer but encountered significant language barrier issues.

Horrible reception and guest service.
Just an average hotel. Checkin was terrible. We had to wait for hours in the lounge where there were only eight chairs. It was short of musical chair situation for us. After some four hours waiting, we were given a room at S$ 200++ per day additional that we had to take ! It was just like blackmailing us for getting the room. In the room, the utilities are inconvenient , particularly the switches , coffe maker etc. hotel did not provide drinking water. I will never stay in this hotel or in hotels of this chain again. My biggest mistake was choosing this place.
