The location was great - right next to the castle. Great access to restaurants- shops and historical sites. The staff were so helpful and engaging. The spa facilities were amazing. I would absolutely return again.

We spent a week at the Grand Hotel Terme di Sirmione in mid-September 2024. The hotel is excellent, and all the staff are always helpful. The thermal pool was a big hit, you can spend many happy hours in it even when it is raining. The sulphur smell from the thermal pool can at times intrude into small parts of the hotel (the smell is not really noticeable in the open air at the pool), but that is a very small price for such a wonderful facility. The buffet breakfast is OK but if, like me, you like your bacon thickly cut they will slice and cook it specially on order, along with freshly cooked accompaniments like grilled mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and fried egg. If you are a dog lover you will not be bothered by the fact that at weekends Italian guests bring their dogs and these are allowed into the restaurant! This is the only aspect of the hotel I would want to change, but having said that we will happily stay there again in the future.

The hotel was very nice, however, I may have felt slightly cheated if I paid full price. The staff were excellent but the attention to detail was lacking for a 5star hotel we would have expected them to notice the cobwebs on the ceiling (removed without prompting after the first night) and the broken door knob to the WC. However, we were so happy with the service we kept forgetting to report the maintenace issue.

Beautiful Hotel, with stunning view of the lake from the pool and dinning areas. Staff were happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. My Italian is poor but the staff were all happy to converse in English and made our stay even more relaxed. A beautiful room which included breakfast in the price and their own thermal outdoor pool. A stunning location and can't wait to return and stay again. As a bonus you can travel to Venice door to door in less than 2 hours (Taxi and then high speed train) from the hotel . Ciao Bella!

5 star experience with the pristine pool, sunbeds, lake, gardens, flowers and shrubs. Very well positioned opposite the castle and a short walk to many restaurants and the ferry terminal. Lovely corner prestige junior suite with 2 balconies with great view over the pool and lake. Excellent quiet aircon. Staff very friendly and helpful - just how a 5 star hotel should be. Excellent buffet breakfast with optional table service if required. Eat in or outside in the sun or in the shade - all on the edge of the lake. Very secure and quiet. Very minor negative thoughts - 1)the room and bathroom could benefit from a few more clothes hooks - even though we had a small walk in wardrobe. 2) the sparrows that appear at breakfast time (and everywhere in Sirmione) are cute but become annoying...an electronic bird scarer would be useful. 3) for the money a separate shower and bath should be provided, 4) The next hotel did sometimes have noisy ventillators which could be heard from one of the balconies and 5) a table on the balcony would be a plus point. Overall thoroughly recommended....a bit expensive at £500 a night but we had a great 5 day holiday in the warm/hot sun of Sirmione.

Amazing location for the old town (cafes, restaurants and boat trips around the lake) also amazing views of the lake at the hotel. The thermal pool is a great facility, the food and wines are beautiful. In particular the staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating.
