The sign of a good guest house is the towels and these were big, thick and white. The owner, Liz, was very approachable. The place was very clean. Could just do with a more up-to date colour scheme

Property was in good location, quiet yet walkable to the seafront. I was a little shocked when I entered the room as it didn’t look anything like the photos of the room I thought I’d booked. Room 9 was quite small and basic but it did have everything as described. The welcome was a little rushed and we wernt informed about wifi code or breakfast time. Luckily it was displayed on the board.. Breakfast was lovely. Good quality food and good service. We couldn’t get one of the 3 parking spaces but plenty of on street parking that was free.

Karema was a good style hotel with very friendly and helpful owners Breakfast included was of a vey good standard and was well worth the money Our room was at the top up two flights of stairs which could be difficult for persons with disabilities but was fine for us and the room was light and airy with good quality fixtures and fittings .There were hair dryers and kettles with brewing supplies and the addition of a fridge was most welcome The owners Liz and Ian were chatty and very pleasant to talk to Overall 5 stars is appropriate

Arrived friday at 3..unpacked..found a pair of Dirty boxers & 2 breast pads under the bed visuble not hidden, told landlady as soon as we unpacked, wasnt removed till saturday when we told her again...we gave the keys to the landlady as only 1 sett so she could remove them ..then we was left out of our room when arrived back at 11.45..so had to stay out with 1.45... even rang them up and left a message but no reply ..not even a sorry or i forgot from the B&B..

Location was very walkabout. Probably 15 mins walk from clock tower. Everywhere was walkabout. Well located. Excellent service, kind friendly staff. Check in was easy and there is parking driveway and street. Felt safe leaving car on the street. Room was a little dated with the 17" LCD TV but was well equipped with fridge and kettle. It was clean and bed comfortable. Toilet/bathroom was miniscule. Sink barely big enough to wash hands. Slide door offerd no privacy. This was my only gripe with the stay. Breakfast was great and cooked fresh. Would stay again.
