The staff was all very pleasant and nice. When we first arrived in our room, the bathroom fan was running and there was a strong smell in the room. I’m not even sure what it was… hadn’t smelt anything like it. Later during our stay, we found a few live crickets wandering around the room and my wife ended up with some type of bug bites (flea or bedbug) in the morning. I’m assuming that the smell was some type of insecticide… Would not stay here again or recommend it.

The staff was very friendly at check-in. The rooms were an excellent condition. It is either updated or new and very modern Compared to some hotels, I’ve stayed in recently. It was a bit pricey for the area, but well worth it with the condition of the hotel. Delicious, generous breakfast. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Why no pool availability?
This was our second stay here in 2023....we enjoy visiting the nearby Bosque del Apache. On your vist in May, the pool was closed for repairs. We assumed that by late December, all would be in order again, but once more found that there was no availability for using the pool or hot tub. A disapointment. Otherwise, this is a nice hotel, and we appreciate the breakfast offerings that include hot eggs and sausage. I guess I would call the hotel ahead of another vist, and perhaps make another selection, if they can't get there pool and hot tub functioning.
