We felt like we were at a North Slope camp room. The heating system gurgled water all night, the wind blew in the bottom of the door, and it was 12°, like air conditioning. While we once had a road rally lodge here, the old Gal has become very "dated." The staff was friendly and came down to assist us with a TV Remote that housekeeping failed to have ready for use. We shared our concern and "fix" for the heating system (a fellow traveler was an HVAC guy for 53 years), yet we are unsure if the word will get to the owner by the front desk. As it was a holiday weekend, we were unable to give Mykel's, their in-building restaurant, a try.

Excellent Customer Service
The staff was fantastic. On our second day, we had a person in the room next to us break the rules and smoke pot in his room, which then seeped over into our room. Our room smelled like a skunk had been in there. When I told the person at the front desk, she immediately said she could change our room. No fuss, no muss.

Loved the price and fit our needs of just needing a place to sleep. While the facilities are a little dated and in need of some TLC, everything worked. The continental breakfast was better than expected. The room was pretty warm and we had to sleep with the window open and we had a lot of traffic noise from the road outside
