"We enjoyed a rather dreamy family holiday at the Hacienda , a collection of properties scattered around an old olive orchard planted by the hosts great grandfather (now producing award winning olive oil as a hobby). So a family property and the warmth of the hosts shows through from start to finish. A wonderful outdoor space in centered around a large pool and fantastic outdoor kitchen , overlooking the sea, and the twinkling lights of Split in the distance. Picking figs, peaches and herbs in the garden whilst making dinner was an absolute delight. You can clearly see the love and care that have gone into making this a very special place indeed, and it could not be more private. If you are looking for a quiet holiday with friends or family this really is a perfect place. Worth noting, the island of Solta is about as sleepy as it gets. Whilst there are some lovely restaurants, none are within walking distance (the one in the village recently shut down). But the island is small so its quick to get around, and I'd recommend booking Mario's Jeep, great value and you'll appreciate the sturdiness on some of the islands roads. The indoor spaces, by comparison were smaller, but well presented and well equiped, but this place is all about the wonderful outdoors. "

"We were so lucky to come across this island and apartment on a random search. From the moment we arrived, we were stunned by how magical Maslinica felt and only a short ferry ride from Split. we had a lovely surprise, when Zoran sent his two children to meet us from the bus ( which we'd taken from the ferry Port- Rogac). The apartment was lovely, comfy beds, air con, a well equipped kitchen and living room to watch the Paris Olympics and plenty of space for the 6 of us. The big balcony had a beautiful view of the harbour. The icing on the cake for the kids was the free use of all the water equipment and bikes."
