This hotel was fine; nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing amazing. I found it quite strange that they did not provide at least a single bottle of complimentary water for the rooms. When asked, they directed us to buy bottles from the bar which in turn were €6!

We didn’t like the fact the 2 pools closed so early, 6/6:30, when you come back from a long day of exploring or island hoping you would love to go to the pool. Also, the shower heads needed majorly updated and it would have been nice to have water available to their guests. You are charged here for everything taken from the minibar. Three other hotels we stayed at while traveling through Italy had complimentary mini bars.

I don't even know where to start, my husband and I loved this property! Incredibly conveniently located just on the side of town. The main downtown area and Sorrento bus station both were only a quick 5 walk, yet at night everything was perfectly quiet, and you couldn't hear the hustle and bustle of downtown. The hotel itself is STUNNING, immaculately clean with incredible amenities. The rooftop pool has a breathtaking view, and the water was cool and refreshing - never one time was there an issue getting cabanas and it never felt crowded. It's also worth noting that the AC in the rooms worked like a charm and was very welcomed in the July heat. We will be recommending The Grand Hotel De La Ville to our family!

Beautiful hotel with wonderful breakfast buffet. The stay was excellent but the evening front desk manager (male) was very rude probably the unfriendliness person I encountered while on a two week vacation in Europe. The bell hop staff were wonderful as well but one person can ruin a perfect stay.

Very clean, well kept, and lovely hotel. The staff was great and so was the food. Highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay in beautiful Sorrento. However, I wish the pools were heated a bit more.

Amazing staff and great location! The breakfast was delicious even though it’s the same every morning, you could even help yourself to a mimosa. I had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was my best dinning experience in sorrento, everywhere else felt way too touristy, but the hotel did a magnificent job and was the same price as local spots. My one critique is the shower leaked a lot and it would pool on the floor of the bathroom. And the curtain clung to myself more than keep the water in the tub. Heard some other guests complain as well. Even though I was in a single room I had a balcony that overlooked the garden pool, which was lovely! The tile throughout the hotel and in my room was so beautiful.

Staff were outstanding. They did everything possible to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Conveniently located minutes from the Main Street which has shopping and restaurants. Very close to the local train station and bus terminal for tours. Would definitely stay there again.
