Lovely staff, always have a smile on their face, happy to give advice on areas of interest around york. Good size room and bathroom with a nice view. Ideally located, 15m walk to the centre. Good breakfast options. Only possible downsides would be a lack of a mini fridge in the room and a nice sitting area outside. Would definitely recommend though and will rebook on my next venture back to York

Our whole experience at the Apple House was excellent. Danielle, her husband and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean and we had a great breakfast. The city is a quick walk away and there were numrous small restaurants and some pubs nearby for dinner. We'd highly recommend the Apple House.

Really enjoyed my stay, the location was great, staff were lovely and the room was clean. Breakfast was lovely too. I would happily stay here again.

Disappointing
Whilst the location was good and the room was clean im very disappointed in my stay. When i arrived my room wasnt ready which i could more than handle and understand. The wifi was absolutely shocking. If you need to get any work done dont bother to come here. Then to top it off was woken up by a fire alarm at 8am. My relaxing weekend left much to be desired.

excellent breakfast
enjoyed our stay, we were in the loft room, ok but steep stairs at top floor. the room had all you needed for a self catering stay if you wanted. we opted for breakfast. Breakfast was perfect, one of the nicest cooked breakfasts i have had in a long while. the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. good location, i would stay here again no problem. only small thing was there was no hook on back of bathroom door for clothes, this is always guest houses forget, just a little thing but it makes a difference.

Great short stay
We had a great short stay at the Apple house. Thank you Danielle for taking good care of us! The room was clean and ready early. Our kids played in the garden, good food options were a short walk. We walked to the hotel from the railway station.
