Thankfully they will be updating the pool area this winter. It was extremely moist in the pool area. Towels became wet just sitting on a chair because of the humidity in the air. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices, the room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Staff was great and breakfast )was okay. However, the whole property needs a lot of maintenance. Comments on our room: bathtub drain didn't work, bathroom light flickered all the time, dresser drawer didn't stay shut, broken desk chair (missing caster), bathroom door didn't work properly, no internet in room, etc. We were there Thursday-Monday (4 nights); website lists housekeeping after 3 nights but none was offered. Would not stay there again.

No hot water, heat did not work. We had to go to the reception area to ask for a blanket. The room was not cleaned, our trash was not emptied, no clean towels for our second day. We, again, had to go to the reception area and ask for towels. The breakfast was not appealing. We went out both days for breakfast. Will never return.

Good place, staff was nice and informative also mentioned by spring a complete remodel to upgrade everything!! Close to ND stadium. Free breakfast was good and also had free snacks Friday at check in, game day themed!! Would stay again!!

Poor experience
We travel to South Bend frequently for ND football games so I’m not surprised by the price of hotels there but being charged $400 a night at a hotel that when only clean our room after complaining three times, and even then was partial done, is ridiculous. The hotel conditions were pretty bad, dirty and musty.

There was nothing that we liked about this property. There is limited places to stay, especially during football season. So, we felt that hotels, including Comfort Suites, don't have to keep their places updated or clean. We will not stay at this hotel again. The staff overall was friendly.

Someone knocked the windows out in the front. We never got any hot water. The sprinkler system was leaking in the lobby. There was trash cans catching the water. The lock on the room door would not work. I the person working the front desk didn’t speak very good English, and was hard to understand. I don’t think I will ever be staying there again.

Well worn
This property is tired and needs a lot of TLC. We pulled the pullout bed and the sheets were used with fruit loops in them. I asked to have it cleaned for nighs 2 and 3 of our stay. They took the soiled ones away and did not remake the bed. They left it without any. That night we had to call down again to get sheets. Finally, when asking to clean the room, housekeeping said yes and never returned. Normally I would chalk it up to poor service but this hotel increased the nightly rate from $94 to $499 a night as it was a Notre Dame football weekend. If you want to take advantage of the location and game to charge more, fair enough but the basics should not be forgotten.

My feet stuck to the floor in the elevator, the bathroom paint was peeling off the walls, the bathtub faucet was dirty. The front sliding door didn’t work all the time. The front desk clerk (approx 30 yo) called me ‘honey’ several times (I am 60). It was not appreciated. Overall I would not stay in that location again.

Whirlpool tub was a nice touch to my King-Size Bed Suite. 30-minute soak while reading a book was very relaxing. Bed was comfortable. Room faced the back of the property, so it was quiet. Counter staff had to come up and get me a TV connection that I could use via remote control, but that happened quickly. Good free breakfast: eggs sausage.
