The initial reservation process was great, from the first communication with the owner to the final payment. The owner was quick in responding to any and all questions. Then, upon arrival the wheels begin to fall off…quick! First, the unit was still being cleaned, not ready. Once the house keeper was completed and we got to the unit, the key cards wasn’t working because the electronic door pad was broken rendering the unit door unable to be closed or locked. Leaving all my personal property unsecured if I left the unit. More over, the A/C was not working and there was no hot water. I understand that things break, I get it however as I spoke with the main office, I was informed that because this was a private unit, they had no real authority to do much. As for the damaged door, they had informed the owner several months prior about the door however, she wasn’t willing to pay for the repair. I had spoke directly with the owner and advised her that the door must be secured or I will not be staying there and will take the appropriate actions to be made whole.
The owner did make arrangements with the property and made arrangements to have the door replaced…two days later. The A/C was addressed later that day as well. Again, the unit is nice however the issues that the unit had, the owner had prior knowledge of and failed to resolve prior to my arrival. Two days later, everything was resolved, and I was pleased but did not appreciate the two days of my vacation staying at the unit in fear of loosing any of my personal property. Will not stay there in the future. No personal just not the way you do business.
