Cozy New England Charm
We stayed a week and we felt at home. It was so nice to have a safe and comfortable place to return to at the end of a day of touring. Lindsay and Jared put together a very informative binder to help us navigate the area’s restaurants, shopping, cafes and beaches. Checking in and out was easy and communicating with Lindsay was efficient and timely. Highly recommend this place and would book it again if in the area in the future!

Cozy Base for Exploring
We had the opportunity to stay here for two weeks. The classic New England cottage is well maintained and the owners have paid attention to the details that make a difference (small nightlights in the hallway, a well maintained Weber grill, swivel bar seats, etc…). The owners were easy to contact and check-in was seamless. The location cannot be beat if you are wanting to explore. The beach is 10 minutes away, Block Island ferry 15 minutes, and historic Mystic just 45 minutes. Some of our favorite memories though are walking 10 minutes into Wakefield, diving into local shops then grabbing a malt at Greenline Apothecary. You can also access the South County bike path in town for biking or running. We miss our morning coffee on the porch and look forward to the next time we can visit.

Great Return Trip
Such a wonderful place to stay. The owners really care about their house and have updated it. Its clean and spacious and has everything you need. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the downtown restaurants, brewery, bike trails, and parks for kids. And very quick drive to shops, beaches, and attractions. The owners are responsive and have provided everything you can think of for the trip. We are so happy to have returned again.

Simply Amazing
This stay was everything we could have asked for and more. Not only did the house have everything we needed, it was in a great neighborhood that was quite and easy to navigate to Main St for anything we might be looking for! The hosts were incredibly communicative, answering any questions we had swiftly. The final cherry on top was when we needed to extend our stay due to our flight being cancelled, we were accommodated with ease. I could not have asked for a better space for our family! While we visit my husbands family when we are out here, our oldest child is autistic and it is nice to have our own space for her to decompress. Our kids managed the pivot and extended stay beautifully because we were all so comfortable here! Thank you! We hope to stay here agin when we return for each visit!

The perfect hideway!
We stayed at the Hope Hideaway for 2.5 months, waiting for the completion of renovations on our Newport home. The cottage is a gem on a quiet, dead-end street yet with access to town, walking and bicycle paths, and shopping. The front porch was a lovely place to read my favorite book or drink coffee. The house has the charm and character of new and old. While it has been renovated, there are still traces of its history. The internet access was excellent, essential to me as I needed to work during our stay. The beds are super comfortable, with ample space to store your belongings. While we were not at the cottage during the summer, I often imagined how special it would be for a family as the backyard is spacious and inviting. Take a chance on this property - you will not be disappointed!

Nice clean rental in a beautiful area
Very smooth rental. The owner took care of a couple of small maintenance issues the same day we messaged her. Loved the porch and patio. Only thing we could have wished for would be more screen windows to let in the cool night air. Thanks, Lindsay!

A small, comfortable house steps away from Wakefield's center
My wife and I know Wakefield, having grown up in R.I.; it's a charming town itself, and close to the best R.I. beaches and Atlantic Coast attractions, like great seafood. So on a recent trip back to R.I., we decided to stay in Wakefield, and found "Hope Hideaway." It turned out to be perfect in many ways. The house itself is small but fully equipped and inviting - downstairs are a pleasant living and dining space connected by a service bar to a full and modern kitchen. There was a hummingbird who came every day to the flowering tree outside the kitchen window. All was well furnished and comfortable, including A/C's (not that common in New England, but increasingly necessary in summer). There's also a lovely porch to sit outside and just relax - a great stress antidote. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms and a full bath - the master bedroom had a memory foam bed that made for great sleep after active days. As was described, the location is on a quiet side street just a few blocks from Wakefield's Main Street. At the intersection with Main St. is Stedman's Bicycles, where you can rent bikes; a couple of blocks along Main Street you can pick up the bike trail, leading east about 3 miles to Narragansett and its public beach, and north about 5 miles to Kingston, with its antique (but Amtrak-active) rail station and the Univ. of R.I. A few more blocks along Main and you're walking by the shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlor of Wakefield. We totally enjoyed our stay - we could take advantage of Wakefield's charms, the beaches and activities, and then relax quietly in this comfortable, pleasant, and well-maintained house. A good stay.

Listing says 2 baths but there is only 1 and it is upstairs. Also there are only window air conditioners and the bedrooms are directly blowing on the beds. The one should be moves to the other window in the master.

A nice find in Peace Dale’
Proximity to so many things is a big plus. We rented the place for proximity to Narragansett but really enjoyed Main St a short walk away, and the fabulous, gorgeous bike path nearby. We liked how quiet our street was, too. Lovely backyard, grill, and other amenities. Thank you!

Cute cottage near center of town.
My husband and I had a wonderful two week stay at Hope Hideaway! Having lived in Rhode Island for 50 yrs, we returned to catch up with family and friends and found the cottage very comfortable for our “down times” and yet easy highway access to visit various parts of the state. Very clean, very comfortable (best night’s sleep in ages!) and having washer and dryer was a plus. Very quiet street but close to grocery stores and shops. We were so happy we chose this place.

Ocean State Marathon Stay
We came to RI because I ran the Ocean State Marathon in Narrangansett. The house was in the perfect location. It was about 10 minutes from the start sight. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops close to Hope Hideaway. It's a short drive to Newport and beaches, as well. The house was very clean and well stocked w/dishes, etc. It was an absolutely charming retreat!

Hope Hideaway was everything we Hoped for!
We are from Rhode Island but now live in Florida. Since Covid we had not seen our three sons and their families in 15 months. We needed a location close to Jamestown, East Matunuck and Green Hill. Having spent many, many weeks at my son's former home in Wakefield (one street over) I so hoped this home would be perfect for us and it was! The host has made sure it is well equipped and clean. It's simply charming and served us very well. Thank you !

Perfect escape for our family
Everything about our stay was perfect- from booking through check out. The home was extremely clean and well equipped, and the decor was current but still cozy. It’s obvious the owners put a lot of time and thought into designing and preparing the home! It’s the perfect older home upgraded with modern conveniences like Roku and Ring. The house itself gets tons of natural light and has a nice modern open layout. The owners were also incredibly responsive to any questions or needs....I wish all owners were as attentive and personable as Lyndsay! The fenced-in backyard was perfect for outside play....when it’s warmer I could imagine eating meals on the patio! The location is a convenient drive to the beaches and an easy walk to shops, a playground and the bike path. My family is used to walks in the city so we appreciated not having to drive to get a coffee or food. There’s a great ice cream shop and brewery nearby! The next door neighbors were also incredibly friendly and kind. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!
