From the high vaulted ceilings to the warm wood accents throughout, this home away has the charm of a mountain cabin while being mere steps from the water. Start each dreamy day with a warm cup of coffee on the balcony and simply soak up the fact that you are surrounded by the beauty of Tahoe. Every type of guest will have a blast here, as there is a shared pool, hot tub, and sauna to indulge in any kind of activity. After a full day of adventure, cozy up next to the fireplace and reminisce with loved ones as the chef of the group whips up something tasty in the full kitchen. When it is time to settle down, the lofted layout will be perfect for those who want to stay up for a movie night and those who want to hit the hay to both get their wish.

There will be no shortage of lake fun to be had with white sand and blue water within walking distance of your front door. In the warmer months of the year, guests can take their pick of boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, or simply lounging in the sun as the kiddos build sandcastles. Venturing into the main drag of South Lake Tahoe will also be a treat with a wide variety of shops and local eateries. Come winter, fresh snow will be calling your name at Heavenly Mountain Resort just under two miles from home base.

Things to Know
Beach towels are available.
Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m to 9 a.m. hours. In addition no open flames, no smoking, and parking permits apply. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Security camera details: Surveillance cameras are in use in the common areas only.

Ski shuttle details: The shuttle will take you to Heavenly and/or the casinos.
Hours are 8 am to 11 pm Sunday through Thursday and 8 am to midnight Friday and Saturday (the hours may change).

Dock details: Dock/pier is for sightseeing and to see the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. No boat docking or boat tying of any kind is permitted. No fishing or diving off the dock is permitted.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Dated condo, no tennis courts as pictures marred vacation

Although the condo complex was quite nice, this condo really needed a deep clean, not just a regular cleaning job after turning it over. First of all, we selected this particular condo because we thought we could play a little tennis as well as enjoy the lake, but the tennis courts were locked and under renovation. We were not told of this at all-just shown a picture of the courts. The actual unit had shag carpeting that looked to be 20-30 years old-let's face it, after the pandemic, everyone has gotten rid of deep pile carpeting in favor of more sanitary flooring. Many of the fixtures of the condo were dated, the kitchen cabinets were papered in contact paper from decades ago; the walls were scuffed and not clean. the cleaning was sloppy-the coffee pot was not emptied. Owners really needed to do a deep clean. The location is fine-in the heart of South Lake Tahoe and by the lake. It could be a nice condo if the owners were interested in taking care of it. I will say that the property management company, Vacasa, was responsive when we complained about the dirt and filth and brought over a six pack of drink glasses (standard 12 oz size) because there were none.

We thought it was good stay. If you're staying here I would recommend brining your own roku/chrome case. I would be nice if the TV were bigger but it's not a Michael Scott tv. The kitchen is stocked with pans, pots and just about everything you need but if you plan on cooking a few meals I would recommend you bring a few of your favorite kitchen items like a spatula or similar. The kitchen didn't have salt and pepper and only had one extra garbage bag so maybe bring a few if staying a while. Coffee mugs are baby sized as well, so bring one if you're serious coffee/tea person. If you end up having a few people stay, just know you can hear about every footstep in the bedrooms below. Washing machine works and was great. Great location. About 1.5 miles to casinos and whole foods across the street with some food options. There are scooters everywhere so that can help if you are without a car. This property does have access to its own beach and dock which is really nice if you want to walk 3 minutes to be on the beach. Solid 4 out of 5. Would stay here again..

Pictures miss represent property

The property was not very clean the hand rails on the stairway were so dirty we could feel it on our hands as we went up the stairs to a stairway bannister on the kitchen living room level wall was not stable cobwebs were all over the ceiling fan and walls. The refrigerator smelt of bad fish (we put a baking soda bin in the frig but realized the smell was in the freezer. The bath rooms had no fans property really needs TLC. We were told that we could not have more than six people at any given time by Vacasa the property management company only to be woken up at 2-3 am by our porch neighbors just crazy rule which is not monitored at all. The comforters on the loft smelt dusty and were very old. The couch was broken down and worn out. Kitchen is poorly stocked so bring your own kitchen utensils if you are planning on cooking. Will not rent from Vacasa again. I noticed a lot of unhappy people when I walked in to get the code from them. My husband said the beds felt like they were from World War ll very uncomfortable. Carpet is worn and dirty too. The deck looked like no one had knocked down spiders and webs for a month at least. Also the baseboards look so dirty as if they never have cleaned them at all. Ireally don’t see the value in this property at all. Won’t ever stay at this unit again. I do like the Lakeland Village property the beach is very nice and property is well kept. We have stayed at another condo in Lakeland before and it was much different experience.

We really enjoyed the unit, it's in a great spot on an excellent beach. The bath towels clearly had not been washed, there were cobwebs everywhere, and the carpet had definitely not been vacuumed. No spare toilet paper or kitchen garbage bags were provided. Manager told us that we needed to supply them when we inquired about it.

Price was fair place was nice. The one complaint I have was the cleanliness. Coffee pot hadn't been cleaned from previous renters. The trash box out front was overflowing from previous renters an the ceiling fan has Cobb webs dangling from it. Overall I would rent from them again though!

Not Quite As Advertised

The check-in process was easy and the instructions were pretty clear. However, there was no air conditioning. We arrived at the property around 7pm and the place was so hot that everyone was sweating. While we found out later that the rental did not have air conditioning, it would have been nice to know upfront. Additionally, one of the bathrooms downstairs with a double vanity only had one working sink. When we looked under the non-working sink, the plumbing for the sink was completely missing! Also, one of the bedrooms had some sort of black mold running down the wall. Very concerning. The dryer had a bunch of laundry in it (not ours) as well. When the owner called to check in midway through the trip we had to ask for the pool code and beach towels. For future renters, a suggestion would be to have the pool code and towels already on hand since the property advertised being right by the pool and the lake. Lastly, we had no contact info for the owner. I tried an email address that was listed in the emails I received (info@vrbo.com) but it bounced back and never went through. If the owner hadn’t called us midway through the trip we wouldn’t have been able to get some issues resolved or noted.

Stench of urine

This property has a lot of potential. I'm not sure why the owner hasn't put a little TLC into it. There is the stench of urine on the carpet in a couple rooms. The carpet appears to never have been replaced since the 70's. The sofa is broken and appears to be at least 20 years old. Aside from that, the beds were comfortable One of the two bathrooms had a remodel. Great location for the money.

What a great week away!! This location is close to everything. It was the perfect set up for our family. This doesn’t affect my review, but heads up, there were no oven mits or kitchen towels. We would come Back any day!
