Omg, when we arrive to this pretty small place our first experience was cockroach everywhere, we report on the front desk.. they said you nees to report to the owner.. we can't stay in the place.

Port Isabel Cottage
My husband and I were celebrating our 34th anniversary and my 54th birthday. This was a perfect place for us and we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as pictured/described. The only negative is that there are only blinds in the bedroom and the edges have some gapping so you can feel kind of exposed and in the evening car lights would shine through. I would suggest putting up blackout curtains. There is an amenity fee and they do have plenty of things you can do but we did not take advantage of them because we went sight seeing and the beach. We were minutes from South Padre Island. We scoped out the best public beach access and we ended up using beach access #2. It has a wooden walkway so it made it easier to get your things closer to the beach but I would suggest still having a cart with tires made for sand to get through the sand to your spot of choice to set up. You can not set up any canopies until 9:00 am and they do drive through and enforce this. We also had a small portable grill that we could use but you must bury your coals. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely would stay again and recommend to others.

Anniversary Get Away
Our stay was extremely relaxing. We both got to enjoy things that we love to do and be together. I got to do some fishing from the deck while my wife got a chance to relax and read out by the bay waters.

Very Nice! Hope to visit again!
The little cottage had everything you need. We stayed for 12 nights and enjoyed it very much. It had a small, well stocked kitchen. A nice stove and refrigerator and all the trimmings. We were quite spoiled by all the fresh seafood offerings in both Port Isabel and South Padre Island. A basket of coffee and tea was left for us to use. We were also welcomed by a thoughtful Xmas gift basket containing hot chocolate, candy, cookies and snacks. There was even a tiny Christmas tree. It made us smile. The living room was nice and was tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and a nice television. We were able to sign in to our Hulu account and stream our favorite programs. There were also options for those who don’t stream. It was comfortable and quiet. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable. The bed was plenty large. There were two side tables with lamps and a large dresser. The bathroom was small, but not cramped. It was very nice. It had a good tub and shower, a medicine cabinet and sink cabinet as well as the loo. I appreciated the hair dryer under the sink. There was also a large closet by the washer and dryer. The closet was helpful and there were many hangers to use. This too, was where we found the vacuum cleaner. We always travel with our very large - and very fuzzy - Great Shepherd named Bernie. She is a wonderful well mannered girl, but she does shed. I used the little vacuum every other day to keep the fuzz in check. It also helps that she never gets on furniture (thank goodness! That would be a nightmare). Anyways, we also used the washer and dryer twice while we were there. It was nice not to have to pack quite so many clothes. We brought some detergent pods with us and they worked like a charm. The little patio by the canal was very nice. My husband, Bernie and I sat at the little table and played cards quite a bit. It was very enjoyable. Long Island Village was really nice. A lot of people had dogs. Nice sidewalk to walk Bernie. There was a dog park, but we didn’t use it. Bernie enjoyed her walks around the little “village”. When we arrived to the cottage it was quite cold (46* inside) The cottage wouldn’t warm up. Contacted Bruce & Angela and they fixed us up immediately! They brought over a space heater for the living room and turned on the bedroom heater (we couldn’t turn it on). By the time we returned from dinner it was toasty warm! Everything was great! Book with Confidence! Thanks!

Perfect getaway
We rented this little bungalow with the perfect water views for coffee in the am and wine in the pm and perfect distance to cross the river to the island. Everything was perfect and I didn’t want to leave!

Great time!
We had such a great time staying on the island! The hosts were super responsive and friendly. The Long Island village had everything needed for a tropical vacation pools, hot tubs, golf, and fishing!! We caught fish everywhere here! Go with a guide, and grill your catch of the day. Restaurants will cook them for you too if you just want to kick back. Such a great value and location. Stop looking and book this one!

Cute and comfortable!
Loved the location and accommodations. Didn't recall seeing the $80 LIV fee when booking but would rent again. The only negative about the accommodations was the hot water lasted about 5 mins for a shower.
