It is in the middle of multiple bars. it was really noisy with loud music and people noise until 2AM and then, hotel guests who partied late came into the hotel and partied around until 3AM in the sitting area that is located just outside of our room. We reserved a supposedly a nice room. The hotel tried to add additional window to block the noise, but it really did not help much. What really made us crazy was that the walls and door in the Inn was so thin that we were able to hear everything outside of the door. Also, no elevators at this location. So, we had to walk up third floors with bags. We could not sleep all night. Their food is OK, cleanliness is OK, and the location is convenient to walk to places and good dining options. We will not stay here again.

It was a Saturday night and we didn’t realize that this is the party section of town! We luckily nabbed an outside table just in time before the soccer crowds let out. People watching was great. The afternoon had a family vibe, but that changed to a more clubby crowd. Plenty of security and everyone having a good time. White Star Hotel had security also, and you can’t get to the rooms without a key. We felt safe. Our room (Shamrock) had a nice large bed, plenty of floor space, a mini fridge, and spacious bathroom. The hotel restaurant has good food; we enjoyed the Greek mezze platter in the afternoon and then the lamb and cod dishes for dinner.

Excellent food, excellent location, excellent rooms, and especially excellent people! The only drawback is that there's no elevator, but their friendliness quickly overcomes that shortcoming.

Very nice, historic tavern and Inn close to the dock. Zach checked us in quickly and reserved a taxi for the next day. Tavern has a nice atmosphere and good food. Nice wait staff. We lucked out and had a room on the first floor so carrying luggage up wasn’t a problem. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.

Had a lovely stay here. The staff were friendly, and the food was great, our room was lovely. If you stay here you do need to realize it is a 200 year old building, so there are creaky floors, and you do hear people in the hall passing your room,, and there are no elevators, but everything else is so great those small inconveniences don’t matter.

The White Star Tavern is a charming small local hotel with all the amenities (and then some) of a larger impersonal chain and a lot more character. The attached restaurant serves delicious pub style food—the fish and chips are as good as they say they are. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. And, it is very well-located close to the cruise port, other restaurants and cocktail bars and shopping in the high street.
