Historic building in Spokane, across the street from the Fox theater. We enjoyed the speakeasy in the old violer room beneath the hotel. A great experience for anyone.

The property and parking was very confusing. It was very confusing on how to get into the hotel once we were parked in the overflow parking area. It surprised me that there were so many rooms and not much parking at all. Overall I was happy for the most part with the hospitality.

Great location, nice to have a restaurant downstairs. Check in was easy and staff was great. Nice boutique hotel with a good common area on the second floor with tea and coffee available. Bed was pretty comfortable. It was fairly loud-we expect that with being by the train when you stay anywhere downtown Spokane but guests walking above us was really loud and creaky, the doors closing around us during the night and the heating/AC unit were pretty loud compared to the several other hotels we'd stayed at recently.

Needed a room last minute and read many options online. Decided on this one, it was close to GEG plus had restaurants & secure parking. So happy I chose this one! The check in was fast, easy & such a pleasant person to speak with. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and much better than expected! Definitely will stay here again. Highly recommend to everyone.

We have stayed at The Montvale many times over the past several years. It’s right in the heart of the entertainment district (The Fox, The Bing, Knitting Factory), plenty of dining within walking distance, coffee, etc. Great staff, comfy beds, clean, and very quiet. We also love the attention to historical detail of the hotel.

Nice coffee station (free) on second floor
I really liked the room with extra space in a small foyer, full size bathroom and closet. the fridge and microwave were very useful. the room does not have a coffee maker; however there was always free coffee available at the coffee station on the second floor. In addition, the coffee shop down the street was very good. Several good restaurants in the area, but I also really liked the awesome deli at the local natural store called Huckleberry's. Recommended!
