"The quintessential B&B experience. From the checking in process to breakfast in the morning it was made to feel like we were a guest in a home, not a business. We loved every minute of it. Location is perfect for the Castle, beach and local businesses. Bed was very comfortable as was the downstairs living area. We didn’t want for anything. Street parking is a little hit or miss, but there isn’t anything our host can do about that, just be prepared for a little walk from your car to the front door depending on season and arrival time. Thanks to Mark and his father, we will be back again for sure. "

"Excellent location with short walks to the beautiful beach and village centre. Property very clean, well presented and equipped. We enjoyed using the large kitchen and eating area. The front and rear gardens were a little overgrown and some of the play equipment was broken. The shower/bath facilities were excellent but on the last 2 days there was no hot water (the problem was fixed on the first day but recurred on the second). The door to the double bedroom at the front of the house is misaligned to the frame and does not shut. The house instruction booklet could be updated as it contains out of date contact information and the description of the heating controls does not match the actual installation. Instructions for the ice maker would be helpful. Overall a very comfortable stay in a lovely area."

"Castle view is an outstanding property to rent. All the rooms are so spacious with excellent facilities. The kitchen area was very impressive and well equipped. The views from the property were stunning. There were ten of us in the party 6 adult and four children aged between 10 and 6 years and not forgetting a family dog. The outside space was perfect for the adults and children. We had to keep an eye on the dog when outside though as he could quite easily scale the low wall around the garden which led into a field of sheep which was a small issue. In all a perfect family holiday place which we would definitely go to again."

"We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future."
