This motel is definitely off the beaten path....I suspect mostly for truck drivers. It had a very nice breakfast that was included which started at 5am.... great for getting an early start to the day. No restaurants, shopping that is close enough to walk to, but a cute pond and outdoor chairs.

It is what it is; for budget conscious travellers
I overheard someone say regarding this hotel, “it is what it is” and that sums it up. It’s very dated and therefore the condition of some things isn’t great — some stuff is torn, yellowed, etc and even though the cleaning staff probably cleaned it, it just doesn’t LOOK clean, given its age. Replacing the carpet would give this place a huge facelift. It’s the type of place I would’ve been happy to stay at for a crazy bargain, but given inflation, even an old, grungy hotel is ~$250/night. The reviews raved about the hot breakfast; I don’t understand. It was perfectly average. It was exactly like any other hot breakfast I’ve had at a hotel — and yes it’s great to have hot breakfast instead of continental, but the other reviews has made me think this one would be exceptional. It’s average. The pool is the best part of this hotel. It too is dated, but we enjoyed. Given all that, I still might stay there again, to stay budget conscious.

Needs makeover. No information given at registration. Another person in lobby having panic attack and staff just ignored her. I got her seated and calmed then had to inform staff her room is disgusting,toilet full of feces, room has not been cleaned. Our entrance door could not be locked from outside. My husband had to drive to front door to pick me up as need to bolt door from inside and reverse on return

There was dust on the TV and counters, the toilet showed signs of recent use, there was clothing in the closet. Staff was friendly and ducks were cute.

The hotel is a bit worn in places and clearly older but it hits the nail on the head where it matters. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and SUPER comfy beds. Great for families with a playground, duck pond and indoor swimming pool.

We stayed at Rodeway Inn Grand Falls on our way to PEI and Halifax and booked on our way back. We loved the unit we stayed at by the pond with all the ducks. It was a relaxing stay after a long drive. Also the complimentary breakfast was excellent. Sets you up for a long drive. Would definitely book again.

Playground and ducks were a hit. Parking near chalet was convenient. Staff was kind to answer any questions. Super convenient location, price was great and the hot breakfast was far better thab i expected! The pool /hot rub definitely needs more attention. Life jackets were a but worse for wear and limited sizing. The bathroom was clean and beds, but their were literal cobwebs across mirror in the room. The stair was broken as well going in. For the price though it was worth it.
