Well…. where do I begin? If you don’t like sitting in traffic with crowded tourist attractions, DO NOT come to St. Augustine during the Nights of Lights!
When we got to the hotel, there wasn’t a parking spot available for us (which is supposed to be included). Turns out, some other guest took the space. It took more than an hour and a half for me to park our car — between sitting in traffic and going back and forth to the parking lot (which is two blocks away). The parking lot is very dark at night without any lights. They claim that they have cameras though.
It was in the 40ºs outside and our room’s loud heater was not cooperating. On our 2nd night, the window heater unit stopped working along with the television! Turns out the circuit breaker tripped and they couldn’t turn it back on because the panel was in another guest room that they couldn’t access since the guests in that room had already gone to bed.
So…after 2 hours, they decide to put us in another available room. We packed our bags and moved to the new room on the 1st floor. The room was much smaller with a smaller (full) bed. It was like being in a dorm room.
With all of these setbacks, you would think that the property offer some kind of courtesy gesture in the form of perhaps free meals or drinks — but none whatsoever.
Property needs touch-up painting — looking scruffy and old.
Having said all this, the employees (front desk/bar/maintenance) were all very courteous and personable.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
I stayed in room 20. Street noise was more than i3could stand and it lasted. Until 3:00 am. No rest what so ever. A loud argument took place in the room nextvto mine and I thought someone was going to kill the other person. My room door only opened two thirds of the way and I could hardly get my luggage inside. No coffee maker in the room and no central air. Window shaker for AC Zand a space heater to keep warm. Imwill not be staying at this location again.

I liked that it was conveniently located. The inn provides a private parking lot a few blocks away.
You can walk everywhere and they have discounts for the trolley and drinks/food at their bar. Downstairs room was near the kitchen so that was noisy.
The Casablanca Inn is worth a stay. It might not be the cheapest nor the best but it was centrally located, the room were small but comfortable. The intention is not to live in the room but to sleep and the bed for that was amazing. Bathroom was large enough to accomodate our needs. Wait staff made sure we had priority seating when having breakfast and the food was good.
Ok so we were on the city side, and it was noisy - in fact quite noisy. I know that is not the fault of the Inn, but the fact remains it was noisy. It was not so much the people, but more the cars and especially the garbage trucks coming seemingly every morning and taking what seemed like an eternity to pick up the noisy garbage. Additionally, there are quite a few deliveries that come early morning to restock the bar and restaurant that are loud. when I say early, I mean 6:45-8 AM timeframe so just be aware. At one point also, the deadbolt wouldn't open and I was locked in the room (#13) for about 30 minutes while maintenance was feeding me screwdrivers under the door to dismantle the lock from the inside. But, they made up for it with extra drink coupons and the staff have been exceptionally helpful and accommodating throughout our entire stay - kudos to them. The breakfast is fantastic - with the coupons especially - and the food and vibe in the Inn is really something to look forward to. Please do visit this place but try and stay on the Bay side. Otherwise, bring earplugs.
Hotel was conveniently located. Accommodations were comfortable. The martini bar was cozy and provided an intermit atmosphere. Breakfast which was included was made to order and excellent.
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and had everything that was described. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious
