Welcome to The Ray, where history and elegance collide. Named after the legendary Ray Charles, who performed at this building in the beginning of his career, The Ray is fully dedicated to bringing his spirit to life and creating the perfect space for you to enjoy St. Augustine.

The Space:
*IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER FOR WEDDING GROUPS/PARTIES: At this time we do not accept wedding groups/parties unless the entire building is booked. Please send inquiry prior for APPROVAL prior to booking. Extra security deposit will be required*

The Penthouse Suite is located on the top floor of a 3 story building. Your group will have full access to the entire 3rd floor and private roof deck with 360* views of St. Augustine that will take your breathe away.

The extremely spacious condo is complete with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Sleeps 8 with 2 queens and 2 full beds. Here you’ll find many ways to relax and unwind during your stay beginning with hotel quality mattresses and towels and ending with a bath bomb in the spa jacuzzi tub. Enjoy full meals at the condo with a fully equipped kitchen to prepare in.

No need to fight for the limited downtown parking, 2 dedicated off-street spaces are reserved for your unit in the back of the building. And with the prime location, you can park it and leave it as everything St. Augustine has to offer is only a short walk away.

The Ray is located in the historical, residential neighborhood of Lincolnville which is known for its deep history with the city and picturesque charm. Lincolnville has been a growing neighborhood and flourishes as locals continue to refurbish and transform older homes into modernized beauties. The neighborhood holds many favorite local spots such as Blue Hen, Preserved, and Dog Rose Brewery. All within a few minutes walk from the home!

From The Ray you are just a:

• 8 MIN walk to downtown St Augustine - King Street.
• 6 MIN walk to the Lightner Museum and the south side of downtown
• 15 MIN drive to Saint Augustine beach

Disclaimer: Saint Francis House sits between our building and the Dog Rose Brewery on Washington Street. If you prefer to avoid walking by Saint Francis we recommend walking south to Park Place and then east to Cordova Street. You'll enjoy walking through the southern side of downtown Saint Augustine, with all of its picturesque Inns, shops and gorgeous homes. Alternatively, please walk west on St Francis Street and make a right on MLK Avenue, which will take you straight to King Street and downtown. A helpful map will be provided in your unit to give multiple options for getting to town!

-For your protection, security cameras are installed in the back parking lot and the stairwell

-Entrances and elevator are a shared amenity with other guests. The elevator provides direct access and you will have a private code for entry.

The Neighborhood:
The Ray is located in the heart of the Lincolnville neighborhood, known for it's rich history and charm. The community that dates back all the way to 1866 is found with a mixture of old, historic homes and newly renovated charmers. It is home to some local favorite spots such as Preserved, St. Augustine Fish Camp, Blue Hen, and more! Flagler College and the Lightner Museum are just minutes away.

Getting Around:
Enjoy the convenience of parking your cars without fighting for the limited downtown parking spots! 2 dedicated spots are reserved for your stay. You are in the perfect location for walking around downtown, but far enough from the action for a peaceful stay. Don’t feel like walking? The trolleys pick up and drop off 4 blocks away at the Villa Zorayda Museum. St. Augustine is very bike friendly so feel free to bring your own bikes as another way to explore. Don't want to travel with your bikes? Rent them through our favorite local vendor Drifter's, who includes free drop-off service! Uber and Lyft are also readily available in town.

Other Things to Note:
-SECURITY CAMERAS: Active security cameras are installed in the back parking lot and the stairwell of the building. No private areas can be seen and there are no other cameras inside or outside the home.
-Entrances and elevator are a shared amenity with other guests. The elevator provides direct access and you will have a private code for entry.

Relaxing and fun vacation property

The “Ray Charles” unit was super clean, comfortable and extremely convenient to the city center and beaches, but nice and quiet so we were able to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen great and overall a very nice stay!

Great Location & Stunning Rooftop Views

The Ray (3rd floor with rooftop access) absolutely lived up to expectations! The rooftop view is easily one of the best in the city. The rental itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as pictured - spacious enough for everyone to spread out and relax. The location was perfect - within walking distance to St George Street, great restaurants, and most historic sites.We took a short drive to Crescent Beach one day and also did the Live Music Sunset Sail, which was a blast. Some of the standout restaurants we tried were Maple Street Biscuit Company, Prohibition Kitchen, and Casa Reina Taqueria & Tequila.The property manager was incredibly responsive from the moment we booked. The only small downside was the ice machine not working, but a bag of ice easily fixed that.We’d definitely book this rental again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Really enjoyed our stay in the Ray Penthouse! Walking distance to plenty of restaurants, bars, breweries. And just a short Uber ride to the Amp. Will definitely stay again if we make it back to St. Aug!

Anniversary turned evacuation Milt

Beautiful trip for anniversary planned. House is gorgeous and beds comfortable, house clean and host responsive to any need. Essentially several houses away from a homeless shelter, not disclosed. I would not have booked it for my guests (3 women in their 20's) had this been made known. Nice place though.

The location is extremely walkable for all historic and downtown activities. The particular neighborhood street is historic. There is a shelter of some sort up the street. So there are a handful of homeless people and those living in cars on the street. Some late night noise and groups of people wandering around.

Overall nice place. Both bathrooms off a bedroom which was okay as we had 2 couples, but if someone had used 3rd bedroom would have had to disturb others. Plenty of room, just suggest larger living room furniture. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and bars.
