Tucked away in the peaceful village of Polgooth, just a couple of miles inland from the golden beaches and pretty harbours of the south coast, is Tinners Rest. A generously sized two bedroom ground floor apartment with a welcoming feel, relaxed decor and a delightful conservatory enjoying the sunshine and looking out to the garden. Perfectly located for visiting some of Cornwall's finest attractions, guests will have a splendid selection of places to go and things to do, whatever the weather.
Entering through the front porch, there is plenty of room for coats, shoes, buckets and spades and beach gear. The kitchen is bright, modern and chic, with a dining table to seat four and integrated appliances including fridge, freezer, dishwasher and oven. There is a ceramic electric hob and plenty of worktop space, along with all the kitchenware you'll need for your slow-paced holiday breakfast!
The living room is spacious and light with two sofas, smart TV with freesat and streaming platforms, and double patio doors leading out to the conservatory. This sunny room overlooks the garden and makes a great space for morning coffees, afternoon naps, or poring over the OS map to find your way to that hidden beach.
The bedrooms are light and airy, with the master having a king-size bed and the second room having two singles. The bathroom is fully tiled and contemporary in style, with a shower enclosure with rainfall showerhead, heated towel rail, basin and close-coupled toilet. There is a travel cot or a bed-rail available for use if needed.
Outside, the garden wraps around most of the apartment and is accessed by the french doors off the conservatory. There is a small patio area with garden furniture, great for sitting out and enjoying the quiet still evenings after your day of fresh sea air.
There is private driveway parking for one car, and free on-street parking available along Fore Street as well.
Locally, Polgooth has a well-stocked village shop with local produce, and an award-winning pub, The Polgooth Inn. There is even a fresh fish van on a Saturday morning selling the catch straight from the boats.
Mevagissey, Cornwall's second largest fishing port, is approx a 10 minute drive away with a lovely range of independent shops and cafes. The historic port of Charlestown, known for its tallships and famed as a popular film set, is also only a 10 minute drive.
The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the Caerhays Estate are all within a 20 minute drive, along with plenty of beautiful beaches and coves on The Roseland Peninsula.
The South West Coast Path can be picked up at Porthpean or Trenarren, and the North Cornwall coast is roughly 14 miles away, meaning Newquay and Padstow are also within easy reach.
