The staff were friendly and quickly corrected my reservation which had been for two rooms, not one. The rooms were nice and seemed clean, but please vacuum under the bed skirts. I found used tissues when I went to pick up something I dropped. For a place that allows pets, I was impressed. The second room had not heat, but the front desk quickly got us moved into a new room. The breakfast bar was very nice. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would stay there again.

The staff was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The place was very clean but could use some upgrades. The heat was too hot seemed to be same temp no matter the setting. But we just turned it off and we were comfortable.

Outdated and Smelly Bait-and-Switch
I’d like to start with the pros of this AmericInn and my stay there: it’s a pet friendly hotel very close to my family’s destination. It also has a functioning elevator, and a luggage cart. The breakfast nook is stocked every morning. However, this hotel is in serious need of some updates, and the service left a lot to be desired. It looks like some kind of renovation is in progress, as there were 2 massive rolls of carpet laying in the lobby during my stay. Upon check in, no check out time was mentioned or noted in our key card folio; however, it’s conveniently noted on the safety and evacuation chart hanging inside the room door. When we prepared to check out, we were informed that this hotel engages in an illegal bait-and-switch, and the actual checkout time is an hour prior to the posted time. I was prepared to dispute this with the front desk, but never got the chance, as the attendant was in the middle of a dispute with another couple about double-charging their credit card for their room. My room, despite being a non-smoking, reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke upon check-in, and the windows were left open, I guess in an attempt to clear the air before we arrived? It didn’t work. The entire hotel has a bizarre odor permeating the air and could likely benefit from an ozone machine. Overall, this was a bizarre and frustrating stay, and I will definitely look elsewhere for pet-friendly accommodations on my next visit.

Alot can change in a year. Stayed here in 2023 & it was great. when it was under a different name & probably ownership. Stayed again in the later part of 2024. The place has reqlly gone down hill. Dirty, there was urine & possibly vomit in the elevator. Walls were scraped up & filthy. TV didn’t work for broadcast channels.Never had a good experience at an AmericInn. Should have known better that after it changed name & possibly ownership it was a red flag.

This is a sad place to stay. NOT clean, only a few tv channels work, somehow the tv system says “Fairfield” another chain they are somehow grabbing? Very odd smelling-cleaning products? Windows don’t open in room and mold. A footprint on the shower floor. Hallway and elevator carpet shot. Do not stay here find another. Not a $150 place. A $75 place.

Didn’t realize I had to work to stay here
Upon check in, the front desk was unable to find my reservation. Apparently they have to log into a different account to see reservations from here. The bed had been made and clean towels put out, but the room had clearly not been cleaned. Tub had hair and dirt in it. Window sill had leftover burnt incense. Hallways smelled very strongly of pot all evening. Went for breakfast one morning and there was no staff to be found. Why? There was none in the building. Checked the office, kitchen, laundry area, behind the desk, used their walkie to call-nothing. Someone called customer service and they told us to talk to the front desk…not one employee in the building. Another woman and I went into the kitchen to put the food out for other guests. She had been waiting to check in since 2am to check in and had to sleep in the lobby. Around 7:30, someone finally showed up and then disappeared for 45 minutes before coming back with a manager (guessing he was sleeping in an empty room). FYI, the pool is not a walk in pool. You must jump or use a ladder as there are not any stairs. The location is convenient and the staff are friendly…when they are there.
