Welcome to My Hideaway (OM #J4)!

A beautifully decorated 1 BR/1BA townhome, My Hideaway offers you the comforts of home for your escape to the beach, with modern conveniences at reasonable rates.

The master bedroom boasts a comfortable King sized bed where you can drift into a peaceful slumber as you listen to the nearby waves crash along the shoreline. A large sliding glass door opens onto a private balcony where you can revel in the sight of the Gulf of Mexico or the Apalachicola Bay! The master bedroom also provides privacy from the main living room and a flat panel TV for your convenience. A full bathroom is located just outside of the bedroom.

Downstairs from the master bedroom, you enter into the kitchen and dining area. The well equipped kitchen supplies all of your basic cooking needs and plenty of space to cook up the catch of the day! A dining table and 2 additional bar stools offer plenty of seating and a convenient washer/dryer is available for your use.

Peaceful colors in the living room allow you to unwind and relax into the beach atmosphere as you acquiesce into island living. A Queen sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping room when needed, with plenty of seating to accommodate everyone. A large, flat panel TV and DVD player will keep you entertained on any rainy days or you can curl up and enjoy a good beach read. The open deck with high top table is an excellent place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee as you take in the sight of Gulf of Mexico waters. Dolphin sightings occur often so you might even enjoy a show from the local wildlife! A single cot is available for sleeping an extra person, most suitable for a small child.

Less than two minutes will get your toes in the sand by way of the convenient boardwalk. First, you will find yourself at the gate of the large, community pool with lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas for your enjoyment. Also available is a large, spacious deck with 4 park style grills, a great place to meet other visiting families and share stories of your favorite Island experiences, things to do and places to eat!

A short stroll from the community pool leads you to the soft white sands and glistening Gulf waters of Florida’s Panhandle where you and your loved ones can enjoy the warm sunshine, play in the surf or work on that Florida tan! With miles of beautiful beach, you can wander into the nearby State Park or get lost in the other direction to watch the shorebirds and depending on the time of year, possibly a sea turtle nest!

A paved bike path accessible from the main road will take you into the Island center where you can enjoy local gift shops, restaurants and the great new Lighthouse Keeper’s Museum and reconstructed Lighthouse! Don’t forget to climb to the top and get a bird’s eye view of the Island!

Whatever your vacationing preference, you are sure to find it on St. George Island and My Hideaway is the perfect place to rest, relax and remember the simple pleasures in life.

Von der nervigen, lauten Baustelle abgesehen ein schöner Aufenthalt
Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Wenn etwas gefehlt hat, wurde es schnell geliefert. Tolle Lage am schönen Strand und eine gute Pool Area. 2 Fahrräder und 2 Strandstühle vorhanden. Leider war vom 1. Tag an eine Baustelle. Die Dächer rundum wurden erneuert. Dadurch war es überall sehr laut. Am Pool; am Strand, auf der Terrasse. Das ging die ganze Woche so - jeden Tag bis zum Sonnenuntergang. Wir waren nur noch genervt. Angeblich war das vorher nicht bekannt, was wir nicht glauben. Wir buchen extra eine sehe ruhige Insel , weil wir wirklich Ruhe und Erholung nötig hatten - und dann das. Sehr schade !

the unit is steps from the beach... great deck with a view of the ocean so a great spot for morning coffee and an afternoon cocktail. We had a great stay.

Got there late & in the rain to find no ice. Had to go back out to find ice. No condiments whatsoever - not even a packet of salt! Never found the beach towels. Outside stairs are dark - solar lights not working. One very small roll of toilet paper for a place that held 4 people?? And the fridge was blocking cabinets that you could not open. Not a working clock in the place. Not only run the dishwasher but put all the dishes up and take out all your trash. I know it’s nit picky but we have stayed at VRBO’s that were better accommodations at a lesser rate.

The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials…coffee maker, oven mitts(which I have stayed at other places and they were not provided) every utensil that you would need. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were so soft.

We really enjoyed the island and our stay. Very cute, clean and perfect for the week we stayed. We had trouble with the key code at one point but I texted Jamie and it was fixed within minutes. Highly recommend!

The condo was wonderful, when we arrived it was absolutely spotless. It was beautifully decorated and had everything that you would need for your vacation. The owner had beach chairs, beach toys etc. We will definitely be back. next year!

Wonderful stay. We had a view from the porch of the ocean, and the pool and beach were steps away. We could walk to the state park. Plenty of chairs, beach toys and floats, etc. we’re provided. We will be back!

We loved the room and especially the bed! Was nice to have a super comfy king size bed with amazing pillows. The only extra things we would have liked to have was extra garbage bags and laundry detergent. The room was great otherwise wouldn’t have changed a thing.
