An iconic St Helier hotel in a great location. It's proximity to the bus station makes getting to the hotel from the airport quick and straightforward and getting around the island easy.
Check in was quick and efficient, the room was not ready (but then it was before 3pm) so we had lunch in the cafe. The gentleman checking us in came and found us shortly after we had ordered to inform us the room was ready which was good.
The room was very good, separate seating area and a view over the marinas. The bed, pillows and duvet are some of the best that we have experienced and enable a very good night's sleep. The shower is also one of the best we have experienced, very hot and very powerful. The only minor criticism of the room would be the traffic noise - this is something that they are aware of as the room has secondary double glazing fitted but this doesn't fully block out the noise. It is surprising how many cars and bikes in Jersey have stupidly loud, farty exhausts (not something that the hotel can be blamed for).
Breakfast is a buffet affair and the choice and quality is good. However, there are far too many tables in the room and it is unpleasant sitting within a few inches of either those coughing or those wishing everyone in the room to hear how important they are (we don't really care if you have a literary agent, you know who you are).
Overall, a great experience and a hotel which we will definitely use again if/when we visit Jersey.
