GREAT LAKES INTRODUCTION
This property was the greatest. The home was clean, roomy, all the necessities of home were supplied. The host was phenomenon, she provided us with activites in the area, and tasty places to eat. Not to mention the banana bread upon arrival. She even had a golf cart for us to use to site see along Lake Michigan which is at her back door. Absolutely the best place I have ever stayed. Great for 2 people! She even had a golf cart for our use

A Retreat in Paradise!
Mary Lynn is an A* host! She is warm and welcoming. I came as a stranger and left as a friend. Her cozy, log cabin is minutes away from the Mackinaw bridge and downtown St Ignace, yet you feel like you are in your own personal paradise. Her property is encircled by trees and punctuated with her gorgeous gardens. It was the perfect creative backdrop for my personal writing retreat and I have no doubt I will be back!

This apartment was ideal for us. All amenities were outstanding. Quiet location with a lakeshore walk just a block away. The hostess lived in the town all her life and gave great tips on places to eat and visit. Beautiful gardens. Washer/dryer. We are pleased to rate all aspects 5 stars.

The property was beautiful! The landscaping was impressive and lovely. The private apartment attached to the home was very clean and inviting. The host had fresh flowers from her property waiting, local fudge, and fresh bread. She was kind, informative, and helpful. We had a wonderful and relaxing experience!!

A Lovely Place
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! The property and suite have a unique rustic feel, while still offering all the comforts you need. The suite is clean and well-maintained. Mary Lynn did an excellent job making sure that we were comfortable and had what we needed. The suite is well-stocked (even with things we didn't expect like suitcase racks and a slow cooker). She left little extra touches as well; local treats and fresh cut flowers. She left lots of information about attractions and things to do in the area. Overall, we had an amazing weekend staying here and heartily recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick visit to mackinac Island. I wish we could've stayed longer. It was such a cute and quiet place. Not to mention Mary Lynn is great. When my husband and I were pulling out of the drive we both said that felt like staying at a family members place. Would totally recommend. And I hope we get a chance to go back someday.

Beautiful and comfortable getaway
Very comfortable, clean, and well equipped property. The rental portion is setup up as an attached "mother-in-law" suite to the host's very nice, true log home. Well insulated, and quite soundproof, so you're comfortable in any weather. The interior is cozy, and stocked with any appliance or such you may need. The bed and pillows are comfy and the blackout shades were a nice touch for when you want to sleep in in the morning. The grounds are very clean with nice gardens. Mary Lynn is a gracious, gem of a hostess, very thoughtful and kind. The area around the home is quiet, very close to the shoreline, and just a short drive into town. 10/10, would recommend and not hesitate to book again.

Words cannot describe how incredibly beautiful and precious this place is. The location is amazing with spectacular views of the bridge and the property of the host, Mary Lynn has the most spectacular flower and train garden. Speaking of the host, Mary Lynn is the most gracious, kind and accommodating person. She made our stay so special and memorable. We came as friends and when we left we felt like family. Had a wonderful quiet anniversary weekend in St. Ignace/Mackinac Island
My wife and I booked this cute 1 br. As a quick getaway from Chicago for our anniversary. Mary Lynn was an amazing host and left us some delicious homemade banana bread, a bottle of wine and a nice card as a warm welcome. She was easy to get a hold of, although we didn’t really need for anything while we were there. The place was very clean and charming, and we were greeted by the smell of fresh cedar as soon as we got out of the car. You can literally walk to the lakefront from here if you want, although it’s along a road with little shoulder, so you’ll have to use your best judgement. It wasn’t a busy street so it was fine at the time we went. If we come up again we would def stay again, although next time we might bring the kids which would mean we’d need a place with at least one more bedroom. All in all, if you’re looking for a great place to spend a romantic weekend, this is a great choice.

Charming place, location and host - will book again!
I recently stayed here and it really is as beautiful as it looks. It was truly an unforgettable experience! This beautiful log home apartment in the woods provided the perfect peaceful and private escape I was looking for. From the moment we arrived, the host's graciousness and hospitality were evident. Initially, we booked for two nights, but we extended our stay to four nights to enjoy all the activities in the area. The host, a real UP-er, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment itself is charming, impeccably clean, and well-maintained. It backs right up to the trees, offering a tranquil and serene atmosphere. The electric heat, air conditioning, air filtering, and RO water filtering system ensured we were always comfortable, and we appreciated that the apartment has never housed pets—perfect for those with allergies. One of the highlights was the host's thoughtful gestures. For my girlfriend's birthday, she surprised us with a card, flowers, chocolates, and even baked us cookies and blueberry muffins. Such personal touches made our stay extra special. The location is ideal—just two blocks from Lake Michigan with stunning views of the Mackinac Bridge. We enjoyed visiting nearby Point La Barbe via their golf cart to catch sunsets, St. Ignace, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, and Pictured Rocks. Overall this getaway is a hidden gem in the UP. The host provided an exceptional, memorable experience, a destination I highly recommend!
